Spent the weekend at PAC, @proathletecommunity here in Miami, and Iā€™m still buzzing. Two days of networking with collegiate and pro athletes who are taking everything they built in sports and bringing it into business. The discipline, the grit, the resilience, all of it translates, and seeing them in the same room as business leaders was pretty cool to be part of. The moment that got me most was sitting at a roundtable with athletes I grew up watching, and having them ask me about the startups, the wins, and the faceplants from the last 15 years. I never pictured that switch flipping from fan to mentor, and I loved every minute of it. Swipe through for the recap šŸ‘‰ Follow along for more real stories from 15 years of building companies, and for where this PAC community goes next.\

Mikel Thomas has officially joined PAC Signature. šŸšØ NEW: Letā€™sTALK TONIGHT podcast on TTGameplan šŸšØ The graveyard behind Caribbean sport isnā€™t full of players. Itā€™s full of plans. Academies that never produced pros. Leagues that lasted one season. CARIFTA stars who vanished at 19. T&T netball ranked at 12th in the worldā€”top 21%ā€”while the executive suite stays stuck because everybody thinks we're losing... CPL, West Indies cricket, netball, track & field. Weā€™ve got the talent. Weā€™ve got the heritage. We donā€™t have the supply chain: volume, conversion, cost per athlete, media value, diaspora dollars. @mikel_thomas 3x Olympian, corporate exec & founder joins TTGameplan: ā€œSport in Trinidad & Tobago has never lacked talent. The bigger question is: have we built the businesses and systems for that talent to thrive?ā€ We talk professionalisation. The opportunities weā€™re leaving on the table. Making sport an economic driver. You care about the future of sport? Tune in Tomorrow evening THURSDAY, September 17. šŸŽ™ļø Full episode ā€” link will be in bio #TrinidadAndTobago #SportsBusiness #TTGameplan #LetsTALK #MikelThomas #CaribbeanSport #SportEconomics #Professionalisation

Letā€™s give it up for our first guest on TSG, @mikel_thomas Mikel Thomas is a three-time Olympian from Trinidad and Tobago whose career has never been defined by just one lane. Heā€™s been an elite athlete, firefighter, coach, sports executive, and entrepreneurā€”each chapter forcing him to rethink success, identity, and what comes next. Grounded in faith and shaped by both success and adversity, Mikel now spends much of his work helping athletes and organizations build opportunities beyond the field of play. His story is ultimately about reinvention, resilience, and having the courage to stop waiting for permission to become who youā€™re capable of being. Tune in NEXT TUESDAY for the first episode with Mikel!
