Asheville just got nearly 10 miles of its backyard back. 🌲🚵‍♂️

Nearly every hiking and biking trail at the North Carolina Arboretum has reopened—and Fall Trail Day on October 17 is bringing hikers, runners and riders together to celebrate.

With direct access to the broader Bent Creek network, these trails are part of what makes Asheville feel like Asheville.

Before heading out, check current trail conditions and respect any remaining closures.

20 years ago we made a pact to keep doing cool stuff that we're still keeping good on today. This California trip was one for the books. Freezing weather at the bike park, first cool day at Kearsarge, record waves on the beach, rain on Baldy. So many nice people along the way...

CLOSED!

So happy for my clients and their new home in Cheshire! This was a long process with plenty of challenges, but we found solutions every step of the way.

Deals like this remind me that great agents do more than negotiate. They solve problems, work together, and keep moving forward. I'm also grateful for the mentors who continue to invest in me and make me a better agent.

NOPE ROPE!

After 12.8 miles of rambling, 1 rattlesnake, 3 miles of bushwacking, 1 sunset and subsequent downpour, 2 sets of headlamp batteries, 10 peaks including the 7 sisters, 1 rattlesnake, 7 bars, 2 pop tarts, 4 liters of water, and 1 big bag of pistachios later I finally completed the west ridge to east ridge traverse at Montreat in the dark.

I wasn't expecting to be out for 7 hours last night but I was prepared 😂 taken in Montreat, North Carolina by @mikes0nbikes

A rare summer moment in Bozeman, 2014. I recently got a new cord for my old photo hard drive. This was from the short time I had a full frame camera. This is one of my favorite photos from before we got married 11 years ago. The look on her face and glint in her eyes is 100% Erica. Check out the FRESH Big Sky pond skim 2014 hat. I honestly forgot how much better the photos are through a 50mm lens of a full frame camera with aperture selection. Megapixels aren't everything. So happy for Josh and Cassie on closing their new home in Candler.

Josh and I have been friends since my time living in Montana. It is not every day I can say I have set off an actual avalanche with a client, but Josh and I did just that back in 2015.

Moments like this make it even more meaningful to be part of such an important milestone. Congratulations to you both and best wishes in your new home.

30a, 2026 slapped.
Seafood, dog naps, chocolate dipped key lime pie, cumby's, venomous snakes, wild color water, a silly little dog and my best gal.

I'm basically always on call these days. Something not every Realtor chooses to do, but I do.
Somehow this trip was timed perfectly with closings all set up, new clients ready to go and listings chugging along. All the while I got to unplug and fall asleep on the dog (yes I did drool on him)

I don't know that I've appreciated the time off so much before. Thankful for the opportunities in my life that allow Erica, Ollie and I to take trips like this to unplug. taken in Seaside, Florida by @mikes0nbikes
