Designers have identified a rapidly spreading condition affecting homeowners everywhere…

UWS — Ugly Wall Syndrome.

Symptoms may include:
• Staring at blank walls with disappointment
• Random sighing in your own living room
• Guests saying “it’s… nice” but not meaning it
• A deep, unexplainable urge to repaint for the 4th time

But don’t worry… there’s hope.

Introducing Wallpaper™ — the fast-acting, mood-boosting, guest-impressing treatment sweeping the nation. In just one installation, Wallpaper™ can transform your home from “meh” to “WHO DID THIS?!”

Side effects may include:
• Excessive compliments
• Neighbors suddenly stopping by
• Taking way too many photos of your own walls
• Refusing to leave the room because it looks that good

Ask your designer if Wallpaper™ is right for you. Because living with UWS is optional… but great walls are forever.

New release: “Lay Down For Me.”

Finally… a love song that truly understands the emotional bond between a man... and wallpaper.

This isn’t just music — it’s passion. It’s romance.

Honestly, historians will look back and agree: this is the greatest love song about wallpaper ever written in the history of mankind.

Turn the lights down.

Crack open the paste.

And let the paper… lay down for you.

DARKER TONES. BOLDER MOODS. BETTER DINING. 🖤

Who says a dining room has to be bright to make a statement?

We recently transformed this dining area using 54-inch commercial vinyl wallcovering, bringing a rich, moody atmosphere to a space that was just begging for a little more personality.

The darker tones add depth, warmth, and a touch of sophistication, creating the perfect backdrop for intimate dinners, good conversation, and maybe one more glass of wine. 🍷

Sometimes, the best way to brighten up a room is to make it a little darker.

32 steel posts. Two massive ceilings. One goal: PERFECT SYMMETRY. 📐

This was easily one of the most technically demanding ceiling installations we’ve tackled at The Polo Club in Boca Raton.

We installed @artewalls Yala Palma, a heavy 3D relief wallcovering where every line, texture, and transition becomes part of the finished design.

On the first ceiling, we had 32 randomly placed steel posts standing between us and a clean installation. Working full-size sheets around that many obstacles simply wasn’t practical, so we took an unconventional approach: we identified the natural lines within the pattern and carefully cut the larger sheets into smaller, more manageable strips.

Sometimes doing the job right means knowing when to break the “rules.”

The second ceiling brought a different challenge—a massive span ending at two large columns that had to be incorporated seamlessly into the layout.

Through all the cuts, posts, columns, relief, weight, and general madness, there was one thing we refused to sacrifice:

SYMMETRY.

Every layout decision was calculated so the lines of the wallcovering interacted intentionally with the architecture. Posts had to fall where they made visual sense. Columns had to feel balanced. Lines needed to carry across the ceiling so that when you look up, you don't see the difficulty of the installation—you just see a design that feels like it was always meant to be there.

That’s the difference between simply getting wallcovering onto a ceiling and actually engineering the installation around the architecture.

Huge shoutout to ARTÉ Wallcoverings for creating such an incredible material and @proctor.construction.co for bringing everything together.

Definitely one for the portfolio. 🎯

A PATCH IS ONLY AS GOOD AS WHAT’S UNDER IT. 👀

This one turned into a little more than a simple repair.

We were patching 54” Type II commercial vinyl on a scrim backing, but once the damaged material came off, we found out the original installers had skipped a pretty important step: primer. 😬

Without that protective barrier, removing the old vinyl tore up the wall underneath. So instead of just patching, we had to skim the damaged area, prep it properly, and rebuild the surface before the new material could go up.

We primed with @romanproducts PRO-977 Ultra Prime, then installed the replacement using @romanproducts PRO-838 adhesive.

And then came the fun part…

The original sheets had been installed out of sequence, so finding the correct match could've turned into a nightmare. Somehow, the wallpaper gods were on our side and we got lucky. 😂

Repair complete. Match found. Wall properly prepped this time.

Moral of the story: primer isn't an optional step. The next installer who has to repair your work will thank you.

😂 POV: When the first drop tells you exactly how the rest of the day is going to go.

First drop? Crooked.

Second drop? Somehow worse.

Third drop? That's between me and God. 💀

At some point, you realize the wallpaper isn't the problem. The entire day is.

And just like that… ✋🎤

🚪 SLAM.
🚗 SLAM.
💨 GONE.

Fellow contractors, tell me you've had one of THESE days. 👇

THE WALLPAPER FILES:
🕵️‍♂️ THE CASE OF THE MISSING CHECK

The name’s Mike the wallpaper guy. Detective, Mike the wallpaper guy.

At least that’s what it says on the card.
By day, I hang wallpaper. By afternoon, I’m hunting down something far more elusive…

The check I was told was “ready last week.” 💀

The job was finished.
The seams were tight.
The invoice was sent.

But the money?

That bird had flown the coop.

So I hit the streets looking for answers.

The receptionist says the designer has it.
The designer says accounting has it.
Accounting says the check was mailed.

Mailed where, sweetheart? The Bermuda Triangle?

Another dead end.

But Detective Mike doesn’t quit that easy. Somewhere out there is an envelope with my name on it—and I intend to find it.

🔎 CASE #001: THE MISSING CHECK
Detective Mike the Wallpaper Guy will return… because unfortunately, there’s always another case.

🚽 Because even your personal business deserves a beautiful backdrop.

We installed this Ronald Redding Designs pattern from @kravet1918 in this powder room, and suddenly handling a little personal business feels a whole lot more sophisticated. 😂

A powder room might be one of the smallest spaces in the house, but the right wallpaper can give it some of the biggest personality.

Beautiful pattern. Beautiful room. And perhaps the classiest place imaginable to… take care of business. 🤌

A dining room that deserves more than just dinner. 🌊

This stunning @phillipjeffriesltd Beyond Heaven on Manila mural completely transformed this dining room into a space made for long dinners, good conversation, and lingering just a little longer at the table.

The rich blue hues bring incredible depth to the room, while the natural texture of the Manila hemp gives the mural a warmth and dimension you simply can’t get from a flat painted wall.

This is what we love about a great wallpaper installation—the right wallcovering doesn’t just decorate a room. It changes how the entire space feels.

Dinner with a view—no reservation required. 🏔️

This stunning @omexcowallcoverings mural completely transformed this dining room focal wall, creating the perfect backdrop for everything from quiet dinners to unforgettable gatherings.

There’s something about a mural that does more than decorate a wall—it sets the entire atmosphere of the room. And this one definitely brought the view. 👌

This one officially made my Top 10 Most Difficult Wallpaper Installations.

We were tasked with installing the @artewalls Yala Palma pattern across a massive 28-foot barrel ceiling… which would've been challenging enough on its own.
But then add 32 steel rods randomly protruding through the ceiling. 😂

Trying to maneuver full sheets around them simply wasn't going to happen.

So we started looking at how the pattern itself could help us.

We identified the natural lines running through the design and carefully cut along them, breaking those massive sheets into smaller, more manageable morsels that we could maneuver around the rods while keeping the finished installation looking intentional.

Sometimes wallpaper installation isn't about following the playbook.

Sometimes you have to rewrite it on the ceiling. 🧠✂️

Definitely one for the books.

Windfall Wallcoverings — When the installation gets complicated, we get creative.
