Oh my god… I don’t think my brain has processed anything fully yet. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude, happiness and thank you’s for so many people this weekend. I can’t tag everyone but I want to highlight a few.
@nightingaylecreations and Grant for being my handlers and helping me Saturday and being great friends the entire con couldn’t have done this without you
@hokuprops for being amazing friends and cheerleaders for everything I do and always willing to lend a helping hand
@stephpipercosplay for awarding me her judges choice. (She can’t run away let me compliment her) I’ve looked up to and admired Steph’s work for many years and this award means so much already and even more so coming from her
And thank you to the fantastic coordinators @cornettocosplay and @alexiscrafting for putting on a fantastic show every single year. The work them and all the staff who work the competition do is seen a felt by everyone and beyond appreciated.

My summer project! This was a really fun progression of skills for me especially in sewing and is probably some of my best work. Tailored menswear is a skill I didn’t know I’d love as much as I do so getting to incorporate it and incorporate it well was extremely satisfying. I’ll post some detailed shoots here soon with my build book.

RCCC oh how I love you!! What a great year! Had an amazing time at the contest both competing and cheering on friends, I’m incredibly proud of so many of them ❤️❤️❤️ I also got to compete in this truly self indulgent Revolution cosplay and met a lot of personal goals I set for myself in its creation! Stole that funky shield 🫡! I am…so busy right now it’s not even funny but I’m having a great time working on stuff for upcoming cons and looking to make regular competition returns next year so backloading some of that work now. I have a forced two week break mid- end of August to recover from surgery so I will get a break…eventually. Thanks for the shield @denevievesofire

Geek Fest West! Wow I did not take enough photos but I had a really good time! I loved judging the cosplay contest all the contestants did great! It’s always nice seeing people and this was a great excuse to catch up. I had rhaenyra up on display for the weekend which was very fun getting to see people’s reactions. And thank you to all of Grey’s cats for supervising me (angrily watching me sleep).

I’m still alive and making things! Wow work has been kicking my butt, but even so here is some progress pictures of buckys jacket and cape. I’m really enjoying working on a simpler build whilst also chipping away at the complexity’s of mollymauk. And I love tailoring and will use any excuse to do it I can. I’m really having fun also figuring out the padded out elements that resemble body armor which I’ve always wanted to try my hand at and I’m so far very satisfied with the results!

I think today is quite a complicated day for many people. I’d be lying if I didn’t say that was true for myself. It’s hard to celebrate a present full of so much hate or look nostalgically on a past that was even worse. It can be so all consuming sometimes you miss out on the good that’s only possible because of what this country is. In the end when I get into this spiral I try to remind myself that “It’s my country too”. I have every right to exist in it and fight for its future just like those of the past did for me. Happy fourth and happy birthday 🇺🇸.

Next on the list of props is Orym’s shield! This was made with pure vibes and not a lot of planning. It’s 10 mm Eva foam with 4 mm used for the leaves. The weathering was done with a couple acrylic washes and tbh it’s probably one of the best looking weathered pieces I’ve done. The leaves have pearlescent paint to make them have a little more dimension which I found lovely in pictures.

Happy HOTD release day! Felt right to do it for my first prop I’ve made but hadn’t taken time to post about post. I made the catspaw dagger as part of my Rhaenyra build which YES I AM AWARE she doesn’t possess the dagger in the show but the first time I wore her I did a skit and it fit the premise. The entire piece is Eva foam that I patterned and sanded to shape. The runes on the blade are real high valerian that tell the prince that was promised prophecy, in a very limited sense. The orange runes on one side are meant to convey what the dagger does when heated and reveal the prophecy to the heir of the throne. I also cast the gems on either side which was my first time working the resin!
She taken some battle damage after a few uses but I still really enjoy it.
