Honestly I’m at a loss of words even though I did the interview about a week ago lol 🥹

i really coulN’t wait to tell you guys who Had reached out to me, but i guess now i can Lol!

When my manager @afja.es told me the NHL wanted to talk to me, we were celebrating Salvadoran night with the Islanders. I was so confused, happy, and anxious because that’s the biggest recognition I could ever get. Truly this means SO much to me.

I could never share my story without mentioning the people who have helped me get there, so thank you all🤍

It’s SO important to me to bring more inclusivity to the game. I’ve always tried sharing a little bit of the happiness this sport brings me by taking my family/friends who visit from other countries to games, even teaching friends how to skate so they can join a learn to play program one day. I’ve hosted parties to bring community, and now I get to help with AFJA in any way I can (as long as I don’t have to cook, I can’t cook🤪) 🥹.

Like the article says, hockey has been everything to me. Hockey got me a scholarship and was the reason I even went back to school and did a Masters degree. I may not be the greatest at playing hockey, but it sure brings me complete happiness and also like the article says, I want to bring more inclusivity for women who want to play hockey, so stay tuned 👀🤍 Thank you NHL, thank you.
