Moving day - quick wrap up as we stop for a bite to eat and fuel on the way home from round 5 of the VBC at Nelson. A tougher day today but we ground out a solid bag of 3.97kg and jumped up 2 spots and finished the event in 4th place out of 55 teams. Big congrats to @danmackrellfishing and @notaploverlover on the win another AOY title 🐐, @jlangling Jess and Lewie on second (on fire!!) and Sean and Ben on 3rd. Awesome effort everyone - house finished 1st, 4th and 5th - Greg and Matt! 💪🏻 #fishing #bream #millerods #lowrance #xbraidaustralia taken in Nelson, Victoria by @millerods

Can’t believe I just won the Bass Australian Open!!

Bloody stoked is an understatement. There’s been two tournaments I’ve wanted to win for ages and that’s the Australian Open and the Bass Grand final.

I fished a Rapala Xrap 6 in Live Roach colour amongst the weed all weekend using a Millerod Twitch Freak and using Garmin Live to spot the weed channels and isolated clumps.

Crazy to finally tick the open off the list. ✅

Preparing now for the Bass Grand final at Lake Glenbawn.

Huge thanks to Fordy, Beets and Matt for fixing up my trim ram shaft on my motor, I fished the whole event with it snapped and the lads just got it done for me in no time. I owe you lads.

Prefish tomorrow and we’re back in service now so I’ll give you some more updates.

Huge thanks to my sponsors and my family back home. Love to you all.
