She’s done it again. Another ultra-race, another first place.
@milliegibbons just became the first woman to finish this year’s Transpyrenees race by @transiberica_club.

Finishing the 1,124 km with 28,000 m of climbing in just 3 days and 14 hours, Millie has left us in awe once again.

“My goal, as always, was to have fun and make sure to enjoy the views. If the route wasn’t wild enough, the Pyrenees provided some wild weather too! From the craziest storm to spending days in a cloud, to super high temperatures.
The best moment was reaching the top of the final climb to see the most amazing sunset over the mountains I’d spent the last days riding over.”

We’re beyond proud of Millie for this incredible performance and can’t wait for her next adventure!

I begin to understand the type of person that Millie Gibbons is very early on in our interview by the way she delivers the sentence “yeah, I’m running the London Marathon this weekend,” with utter nonchalance. It’s such a flyaway comment I only realise afterwards that we completely brushed over it as our conversation continued. That’s the thing with Gibbons – she’s done enough crazy things in sport that running 26 miles is almost rendered insignificant.

We could go into the fact that she completed all three distances back-to-back in the Traka last year, covering 710km in three days. Or talk about that time she rode up and down a mountain for 24-hours for the simple fun of it. But to make things simple, let us focus on the most recent item on the list of Millie Gibbons-style fun: double-Everesting.

These are the numbers: 38 hours and 39 minutes. 30 ascents of the Sant Marti Saclam climb situated just outside of Girona, Spain. 17,965 metres of elevation gain. 493 kilometres. Two sunrises. Two sunsets. Lots of cups of tea.

In the latest of her crazy challenges on two wheels, the British rider broke the double-Everesting world record. To find out exactly how she did it, read more via the link in bio 🔗

Millie Gibbons loves climbing. For her, it’s one of the purest forms of riding — and a way to find out just how far you can push yourself.

She’s done a few Everests now, including the fastest double Everest in the world. There’s something about spending that long on one climb that keeps bringing her back.

This time, she invited a group of women to do it with her. To push their limits, get each other through the hard parts and find out what might be possible with a little extra encouragement. The idea was that you could always do one more.

Together they climbed 52,000m in 24 hours.

We caught up with Millie on Everesting, doing hard things together, and why she wants more women to experience what comes from pushing beyond what you thought possible. taken in Els Angels by @milliegibbons

Join us for One More Climb on Els Angels, Girona.

Last year, @milliegibbons became the double Everest record holder. This year she’s pacing an Everest attempt for 6 women on her home climb, and we’re coming along for the ride.

Three rides from Velodrom across 24 hours, riding up to join Millie and climb as a group. As she puts it: “if you keep telling yourself you can do just one more, you might be surprised how far you can get.”

Ride one lap, ten laps or all twenty four. When you’re done, we’ll be at the top, painted roads, a pasta party, and cheering through the night.

Girona, come and climb. RSVP at the MAAP Strava club. taken in Girona, Spain by @milliegibbons

THE FULL LOOP: DAY 4

Distance: 37.50 km
Climbing: 1,829 m
Moving time: 6h 06min

Another 6am start, but this time sunny. After a full day of rain, it felt glorious.

Just two climbs separated us from Chamonix. We saw the sun rising on the first one. Down to Trient for a second breakfast on the steps of the pink church, then up to Col de la Balme to finally see Chamonix and Mont Blanc waiting for us.

After a long descent to the valley, we made it. We arrived back at the church where we had started just a few days before.

We did the full loop. 160 km in four days. We did it together, at our own pace, and enjoyed every second of it. An adventure that will definitely stay with us forever.

Now, a good rest to enjoy the craziness of UTMB week. See you around Chamonix!

If you can see us.

THE FULL LOOP: DAY 2

Distance: 38.47 km
Elevation: 2,078 m
Moving time: 6h 14min

Alarm set for 6am, but we got woken up by thunderstorms earlier. A quick coffee and we started moving.

First climb up to Col de la Seigne to enter Italy, which welcomed us with plenty of rain. Luckily, it didn’t last long, and we made our way down to Courmayeur after another climb, where we had what felt like the best focaccia in the world.

Then just another 7km climb to our campsite for the night. We cooked pasta and were in bed early again, this time with the rain coming down outside.

The weather didn’t treat us very well today, but we’re over halfway!

Nick found his T-shirt. But has anyone seen his shorts?

THE FULL LOOP: DAY 1

Distance: 42.48 km
Elevation: 2,485 m
Moving time: 6h 59 min

After a 6am start from Chamonix and a beautiful sunrise over Mont Blanc, the first climb started in Les Houches setting the rhythm for the day.

A big resupply in Les Contamines: bread, bananas and candy to keep us going. Then a beautiful valley trail through to Notre Dame de la Gorge, where hundreds of people will come together next week to cheer the UTMB runners, with fires burning and voices echoing through the valley.

Then came the big climb of the day: 1,400m up to Col du Bonhomme, before going down to Les Chapieux for a pizza and our first night sleeping outside.

Nick lost his T-shirt. Did anyone see it?

@ssxmysterytour minicam/iPhone media.

What should have been a gruelling day on the hills and lanes of Sussex turned into a beautiful experience sharing the brutal climbs, bone rattling descents and grassy vistas with @milliegibbons & @lloydb____.

It’s always a privilege to be able to explore where I live, thank you to @ssxmysterytour / @liamyates for a route to appreciate the highs and respect the lows.

Ride your bike with your mates.
