I didn’t forget & I never will. Happy 89th Birthday Daddie! On Sunday, I ate by myself at our favorite Pho Restaurant, ordered my regular seafood noodle w/ a Vietnamese Lime Soda. I had a little moment thinking about how our restaurant was still there, just like you left it. The owner was still servicing the tables, the tv was still on the same wall, the tables & chairs in the same position they’ve been in all these years, yet the only piece of this perfect meal that I was missing was … you. I seem to miss you in everything I do; my wins, my losses. I just miss you. I sat there eating, staring at the table where you gave Isa (as an infant) her first taste of white rice. I kept telling you, “no no she can’t eat solid food yet” while watching as she gnawed on your fingers, without hesitation, with her gums, giggling and smiling after she had a taste of “the good stuff.” You would be proud to know that she now inhales a bowl of rice like the air she breathes 😂. She couldn’t imagine her life without white rice, no substitutes of brown rice for her! I promised myself I wouldn’t write a long, drawn out caption today, but when dedicating the time to gather my words for you, there’s an endless amount of things to say. Even in the 29 years I had you in my life, I still feel like I didn’t say enough. I long for more conversations with you always. Keep talking to me please, keep being my voice of reason. When I’m at a crossroad in my life I think to myself, wwjd & also what would Daddie say 😂😂😂 I love you, continue to rest well, you deserve it 👫🏻👩🏻‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏻🍣🍜🫶🏽🍵🧋👩🏻‍❤️‍👨🏻 by @millimoto_

Honored to convene county leaders from across the country at the NOBCO Membership Meeting during the NACo Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C.

Many members shared that this was one of our strongest meetings yet.
