And a huge thank you to @kwhb_ Katherine West Health Board! At Strong Women forum 2026, staff members Donny and Gemma shared their “Big Rivers Healing For Our Mob” program that provides support and services to women and families.

They helped create a toolkit of information and resources to help keep ourselves and our families safe.

Katherine West Health Board offer services all across the Big Rivers region including Victoria Daly Region, Roper Golf Region, and Katherine Municipality.

🐗🐃 Exploring an exclusion fence within the Mimal IPA, this fence has only been in place for 12 months and already the difference is remarkable.

Outside the fence walkers risk twisting an ankle on the ground that has been extensively damaged by buffalo, inside the fence it is due to the huge amount of plant growth!

This project was carried out in conjunction with @nailsma_official by @mimalland

Last month, a small KKT delegation travelled to the United States for Climate Week. Miliwanga Wurrben, Rembarrnga Elder, senior cultural leader and Director of @mimalland, was a part of this delegation. She shared her own story and spoke about First Nations peoples’ immeasurably long legacy of caring for Country. With so much of the global conversation focused on the scale of the climate and biodiversity challenges, Miliwanga brought it back to what this vital and holistic work actually looks like in very remote, frontline areas. by @mimalland
