At Premier we start with prevention, and preventing skin cancer is THE most important reason to wear sunscreen every day! After that, we all of course want to age gracefully! Yes yes you knew we were gonna say it: sunscreen. Every. Day. No exceptions! But other than that, since it’s a little warmer and we’re sweating more, don’t forget to use a nice gentle cleanser each night before bed and before you moisturize! Tomorrow I return to work after 12 glorious weeks at home with my family.To say these weeks have flown by feels like an understatement. How lucky am I to have been given uninterrupted time to watch you grow, to learn you, to fall even deeper in love with you every single day. I’m endlessly grateful to my work family for giving me the space to live fully in these moments.And yet—12 weeks is only a blink in the grand story of your life. Still, we’ll never have these 12 weeks again. The quiet mornings, the long days, the figuring-it-out-as-we-go. We’ve learned so much about each other in such a short time, and without question, you have become my favorite person. *Cue the tears*.Somewhere along the way, I also found my people—other moms, the moms of your future best friends—who have held me up through the hardest moments of early motherhood. The late-night texts, the shared tears, the “me too” reassurance. I don’t know how I would’ve navigated these early days without them, and know I’ll continue to lean on them. Now comes the part where I trust others with your day-to-day, and I’d be lying if I said that didn’t come with guilt. But I remind myself that millions of working moms have gone before me, and millions will come after. This isn’t new—but it is new to me.I love what I do. I love that part of my identity lives in my work, while another part of me has found its truest identity in being your mom. My prayer is that one day you find work that lights you up the way mine does—and that you always know how deeply loved you are. 🤍 by @mimidermpa
