INTERREGNUM, 2026

Oil on canvas
121.92 cm x 91.44 cm

A place outside the noise, where time loosens its grip and the rules of reality quietly dissolve. Somewhere to retreat to when the world asks too much of us. A space between worlds, always there when we need to disappear for a moment, find stillness, and return to ourselves.

Artist Mina Alikhani steps into her residency at Maddox Gallery, and into a candid conversation on how art became her path.

Beneath the beauty of her work lies a subtle tension, worlds that feel idyllic at first, and grow stranger the longer you look.

Now, in a city with a rhythm all its own, she reaches for greater creative risk and experimentation.

Swipe through to hear it in her own words.

📍See where it begins at 8 Shepherd Street, Mayfair

Open Wednesdays and Fridays, 10am - 1pm.

Letting this London residency push me into stranger, less familiar territory. Less concerned with making sense, more interested in making something felt.

The mind has a way of distorting things. But somewhere between stillness, instinct, and emotion, there’s a different kind of truth. One that exists beyond the noise, where the body remembers what the mind forgets, and something in the soul feels seen again.

Here’s to making things a little weirder. 🌀

Before we had politics, we had paradise. Before we drew borders, we had gardens.
Somewhere between the noise of the present and the memory of our origins, the last Persian Gardens float in a world beyond time.
A quiet reminder that long before we had anything to say, there existed a magic and intelligence far beyond human comprehension. taken in Maddox Gallery by @mina.alikhani

Grateful that love still lives here, untouched by the noise of hate.

Grateful that peace still lives here, untouched by noise of chaos.

Grateful that clarity still lives here, untouched by the noise of propaganda.

Mid-Century Woods, 2026 • 48” x 36” • oil on canvas

Currently up at @maddoxgallery in Mayfair, London

🌳We spend our lives trying to move forward.

But every now and then we stumble into a place that feels suspended outside of time.

Familiar.
Unspoken.
Quiet enough to hear ourselves again.

Mid-Century Woods.

SOLD • “The Shape of Longing” • 60” x 48” • oil on canvas

Every piece I create is unintentionally intentional.
The colors and shapes arrive through instinct, moving through my body and into my hands—becoming forms that reveal my secrets to anyone willing to look beyond the pleasant surface 🫯
