We made the news! 📰✨

Our very own co-founder, Nicole Herdocia-Oria, LMFT, was featured in the Daily Mail, sharing her professional perspective on one of the most complex conversations happening in family dynamics today: going “no contact.”

Social media has helped an entire generation recognize unhealthy family patterns, challenge generational trauma, and understand that being family doesn’t automatically mean having unlimited access to someone.

And that’s progress. 👏

But here’s where the conversation gets complicated: Not every difficult family relationship is toxic, and not every boundary needs to end in estrangement.

Going no contact can be a necessary, protective, and sometimes life-changing decision. But it’s also a deeply personal one that deserves nuance, reflection, and an understanding of the circumstances involved.

Sometimes healing means rebuilding relationships. Sometimes it means redefining them. And sometimes it means walking away.

The goal isn’t to normalize cutting people off. It’s to normalize choosing relationships where emotional safety, accountability, and mutual respect exist.

We’re proud of Nikki for contributing a thoughtful, clinically informed perspective to a conversation that deserves more than a viral sound bite.

We’d love to hear your thoughts: Has social media helped us establish healthier boundaries, or has it made us quicker to walk away from difficult relationships?

Forget ghosts and goblins. THESE are the real reasons to run to therapy.

The real horror? Thinking you have to deal with all of this alone.

🖤 At Mindful Wellness House, we help you face what’s haunting you.

Because therapy is a lot less scary than continuing the same patterns. 👻 by @mindful.nik

September brings a lot of conversations about suicide prevention—checking in, noticing the signs, making the call.

And those conversations matter.

But for someone who has lost a loved one to suicide, they can also bring up a different set of questions.

Should I have known? Could I have done more?

So this is for you.

There is no shame in needing help processing the grief, the guilt, the anger, the unanswered questions—or all of it at once.

They were loved. They mattered. And so do you.

Please don’t be afraid to reach for help for yourself, too.

If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988.

727,000 is a number.
But every single one was a person.

Someone loved them.
Someone knew their laugh.
Someone remembers them.

This is why we care so much about mental health.
This is why we keep talking about suicide.

If you or someone you know is struggling, call or text 988. #suicidepreventionmonth #suicdeawareness #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthawareness #suicidepreventionmonth by @mindful.nik
