Mania and hypomania can involve periods of unusually high energy, activity or mood. 💙

Someone may experience changes in their sleep, racing thoughts, talking more quickly or behaving more impulsively.

These experiences can be part of bipolar disorder and can affect someone’s everyday life in different ways.

Understanding mental health can help us challenge misconceptions and create more supportive conversations.

Trauma can affect everyone differently. 💙

It can be a response to an experience that feels deeply frightening, overwhelming or distressing, and its effects can sometimes continue long after the event has happened.

There is no right or wrong way to respond to trauma. Understanding your experiences and having the right support can be an important part of moving forward.

Halloween card-making and crafts in Masham!🎃

Join us for a relaxed and creative evening with our lovely group member Michelle, who has kindly offered to lead our next session.

We'll be making Halloween-themed cards and decorating little tombstones and coffins filled with sweets. Whether you'd like to give your creations to someone special or keep them for yourself, it's a lovely opportunity to try something different.

Getting creative can be a great way to look after our mental health, giving us time to slow down, switch off from everyday worries and connect with others.

📅 Tuesday 27 October
🕡 6.30pm – 8pm
📍 The White Bear, Masham (Lightfoot Room)

A big thank you to Michelle for putting so much thought into the session and generously donating materials, to Gaynor for her fantastic fundraising efforts which have helped make the evening possible, and to The White Bear for kindly providing the space.

OCD is more than being tidy or organised. It can involve intrusive thoughts, distressing fears and compulsions that may be difficult to control.

This OCD Awareness Week, we’re challenging common misconceptions and helping to create a better understanding of what OCD can really look like. 💗

Let’s talk about OCD beyond the stereotypes. 🧠 by @mindinharrogate
