Today is World Mental Health Day!

There are currently 1.6 million people on mental health waiting lists in England. In the last year nearly 40,000 children in England experienced a wait of over two years for mental health support.

Everyone should have access to mental health support that makes them feel seen, and starts on the day they ask for help. But too many of us have a very different experience. We ask for help but are told to wait. We tell our stories but don’t feel heard. We get offered support but it’s not right for who we are and what we need.

See Me Now is a new Mind campaign to transform the future of mental health support. Everyone should have access to mental health support that makes them feel seen, starting on the day they reach out.

The right mental health support can change lives. It can stop people reaching crisis point. It can save lives. Follow the link below to learn more or even join this campaign.

Today’s feedback comes from an individual who has recently attended our Understand Yourself Better course.

“It was a very well-run course in a good environment. Everyone was respected & given time to express themselves. It brought a group of strangers closer to each other. Thank you.”

The aim is to help participants to become more self-confident, to have a better sense of their self-worth, and to encourage them to engage in activities that promote a sense of value, meaningfulness and purpose. Follow the link below to see more about this support service. 👇

This ADHD Awareness Month, we're helping to raise understanding of what ADHD really is.

ADHD is more than being distracted or forgetful. It can affect focus, organisation, time management, emotions, and daily life in ways that aren't always visible to others.

By learning more and challenging common misconceptions, we can help create a more understanding and supportive community for people living with ADHD. Let's celebrate strengths, increase awareness, and remind people that everyone experiences the world differently. Follow the link below to learn more about ADHD. 👇

Black History Month 2026 💙

This October, we celebrate the achievements, contributions, and experiences of Black people throughout history and today.

Black History Month is a time to learn, reflect, and recognise the individuals and communities who have helped shape our society while also acknowledging the challenges that still exist.

At Kettering Mind, we're committed to creating an inclusive community where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.

Don’t forget, we host a weekly drop-in at Kettering Mind every Monday (excluding bank holidays). It’s a great opportunity to come along, meet others, and socialise in a welcoming environment.

We’ll have jacket potatoes, drinks, and cake available to purchase for a small fee. A mental health navigator will also be on hand if you’re looking for support.

Feel free to pop in tomorrow anytime between 11am and 1pm. We’d love to see you there! 🙂 by @mindkettering

Todays feedback comes from an individual who recently accessed support via our hospital at home service. This feedback is truly incredible to read and a reminder to anyone struggling that accessing support at the right time can make a significant difference.

“I feel like I am a changed person, I can't even explain it. I have secured a volunteer role, and I now feel confident to support myself. I feel empowered. I have started to self manage when things go wrong instead of shutting down. I was at rock bottom at assessment and now I have a future to look forward to. I don't think I would be here if it wasn't for this service. I don't think I could ever have done this without this service.”

This feedback is a fantastic representation of what can be achieved through our hospital at home service. Especially through working alongside other organisations to deliver this support. This service is here to help those in need of intense support to help cope with and get through the challenges life throws at us all. Life can be very difficult at times, but services like this are making a real positive difference to individuals going through these difficult times.

We are here for you when you need us most. 💙 by @mindkettering
