We will be hosting our 8th Christmas charity evening at The Ritz Complex in Desborough in aid of Brain Tumour Research on Sat 5th Dec 2026. We have raised over £28K in 9 years.
We're delighted to say that we've kept ticket prices the same again this year: Saturday 5th December. Doors open 30 minutes earlier at 18:00
🎄 £55 – Full Package (welcome drink, 2-course meal, reserved seat all evening & entertainment)
🎄 £25 – Entertainment Only (entry from 8:00pm)
This year, all money raised from the event will be shared between brain tumour research, Mind Kettering, and Beaumond House Hospice.

NORBCON is a real labour of love by a very small team with the support of our incredible directors & team of the very best volunteers. We are motivated by a desire to improve our local community and run events that are accessible, affordable & enjoyed by as many people as possible. On Friday I was invited to The Kettering Mind Open Day for their new Pennels Two Development.

As a charity, Kettering Mind have invested £1m in the design and construction of five new build flats for people with long term mental ill health in Kettering.

They provide supported living accommodation across Kettering for people seeking to manage and improve their mental health. This takes the form of both long-term tenants who cannot live independently and short-term tenants who need support towards independent living.

It was wonderful to go along and meet the team behind the development and I wish them success with their goal of recreating this venture in the near future.

This time last week, I was out on Loop 9 at @endlineeventsuk Backyard Ultra. It's amazing what the mind and body can do when you just keep moving forward 💭🔥

Tomorrow, the challenge changes slightly with @go_beyond_sport Shires & Spires 35 Mile Ultra 🏃‍♂️💨

Kit laid out, race brain activated and ready to embrace whatever the day brings. Ultra running really is one big adventure of highs, lows, laughs, pain caves, and questionable decisions 🤣 Race 2 for @creeperssocks

How do you keep a project on track? You keep talking.

No construction project is without its challenges. The difference between a minor complication and a significant problem is timely and constructive communication!

Our five-apartment development for @mindkettering Kettering is a prime example. Issues like the constrained site and challenging weather (among others) have presented obstacles but with an open and constructive dialogue from board members and the supply chain to the immediate neighbours - we have turned potential roadblocks into positive outcomes.

The results speak for themselves: strong programme progress, a well-maintained site, positive community relations, a clear completion schedule, and proactive snagging throughout delivery to ensure the highest quality handover on 9th June.

Next steps are second fix carpentry and mechanical and electrical works……. follow us for progress.
