Truly the DJs-DJ. Irreverent, idosyncratic, knowledgable and ever-gutsy in his selection, Conor has quietly influenced the sound of the North West scene for years. From cult-status sets at his residency at The White Hotel (the recordings of which are salivated over by scouring youtube nerds) to buying records for Boomkat, to running The Death of Rave and Elegia - if you’re into weirdo dance music in the North West, you’ve been influenced by Conor Thomas.

Taking a moment to spotlight the cutting edge artist Ming Mó Li ahead of DJ Haram at the Quarry.

Toxteth-based Ming Mó Li draws from an upbringing shaped by a melting pot of cultures, channeling those influences through an industrial, sludgy, and beat-driven lens.

Alinea Events is excited to announce their summer day party ‘Garden Frequencies’ taking place at the iconic and incredible @kazimiergarden_ on the 27th of June.

Expect a wide variety of genres ranging from downtempo to mid-tempo tunes, including electronica, triphop, deep/jazz/lofi house, dub/minimal/ambient techno, ethereal jungle and more.

I moved to Liverpool 5 years ago TODAY. It was only meant to be for a year, but apparently Liverpool has a way of doing that to folks.

Maybe it's the slightly obscene level of friendliness, or that it's a village with big city activities, or the old friends that have always visited at the right time, or the new friends that I couldn't imagine life without now. Or maybe it's the Kaz (it could be the Kaz).

Thank you to everyone that I've shared the briefest or the biggest moments in this windy and ever-growing city with.

I don't plan on staying another 5 consecutive years, but I didn't plan on this 5 tbf.

Ming Mò Lì, a DJ based in Toxteth, explores the intersection of hip hop records lifted from her dad’s attic and her own finds from the Eastern Bloc and South America. Her Hello Summer set on Lark Lane will explore where these sounds meet and overlap - but mainly be a solid background for a bev in the sun. by @ming_mo_li
