Never knew slow living could feel like this.

Watching cows roam freely across the fields of Tokachi, breathing in the crisp Hokkaido air, and experiencing a very special milk sauna.

From the intense heat of the sauna to the shock of a cold plunge, then sitting outside under the endless Hokkaido sky.

For once, doing absolutely nothing felt like everything.

Our host, Hirotaka Shinmura, is a fourth-generation dairy farmer who has devoted his life to extraordinary milk and the land it comes from.

Thank you, Shinmura-san, for welcoming us into your home and farm with such warmth and trust.

This is a kind of happiness I could get used to.

Eat Well | The Taste of Tokachi 🥔 🐖🥓 十勝｜北海道

Never thought a potato could be so memorable. Or that some of the best conversations in Tokachi would happen over dinner at a little yatai.

Four days here completely changed my appreciation for the simplest ingredients.

At Bito Farm @bito_laboratory , we discovered how aging potatoes brings out their natural sweetness, turning an everyday staple into something worth savoring. Behind that one potato is a family business built over generations, with enormous fields, serious machinery, and an equally serious dedication to making things better.

Then came lunch at @hiyori_farm_and_table. A beautiful spread of seasonal vegetables, rice, and homemade dishes, prepared with so much care that we wanted to try absolutely everything. The kind of meal that makes you happy without trying too hard.

And of course, @enzin_kitanoyatai - Enjin. Where everyone seems to end up after dark. Farmers, entrepreneurs, friends — sharing plates, discussing business, making introductions, and ordering just one more dish. I have a feeling more business gets done around those tables than in most meeting rooms.

What I love about #Tokachi is that food isn’t just something to enjoy. It’s how people share their work, their pride, and their lives with one another.

And we were very happy to eat our way into all of it.

十勝的美味，從來不只是食材新鮮。

尾藤農場把一顆馬鈴薯研究到極致，Hiyori 用當季蔬菜做出讓人捨不得停下筷子的家常料理。到了晚上，大家又聚在煙陣，一邊吃飯喝酒，一邊聊生意、介紹朋友。

這裡的農業有世代傳承的底氣，也有很迷人的人情味。四天下來，吃得太好，也認識了太多有趣的人。已經開始想念十勝的餐桌了。

The People of Tokachi | A Place to Belong 🐄🐖🥔🏕️🪵

You don’t really know how differently life can be lived until someone invites you into theirs.

In Tokachi, happiness can be as simple as a glass of fresh milk, a potato harvested from the field, or a long dinner with people who have become friends.

But nothing about that simplicity comes easily.

Behind every ingredient are generations of farmers perfecting their craft. Behind the farms is a community built on trust — farmers who take immense pride in their work, local leaders who care deeply about their hometown, and entrepreneurs bringing AI into agriculture to make life a little easier without losing what makes it special.

There are the outsiders who came for a visit, fell in love with the land, and somehow never left.

And then there was us.

Two curious city girls, completely mesmerized by the landscape, eating everything the chefs put in front of us, and shamelessly accepting every invitation — from farm visits and saunas to sausages, late dinners, and one more stop at Flying Fish.

Somewhere along those four days, complete strangers became friends. And we felt like we belonged.

We left with full stomachs, very happy hearts, and a different understanding of what a good life can look like.

明明只是來了四天，卻像認識了這裡的人很久。

十勝的富足，不只在土地與物產，更在於一群真心熱愛這片土地、願意彼此信任與照顧的人。那些看似簡單的幸福，其實是好幾代人認真生活、努力工作的成果。

不過或許，讓這片土地如此難忘的答案在這裡的人。

謝謝每一位打開他們的農場、家門、以及餐桌，那些因為熱愛十勝而傾心相待的朋友，把健康的土壤空氣及水，變成生活最美好的一部分。

希望明年初夏，也能帶 CAREhER 的朋友們回來，親自感受這份幸福。

Colors of Tokachi #Sunflower Yellow 🌻

It’s the sheer scale of Tokachi that makes its landscape so magnificent. Fields of sunflowers stretch as far as the eye can see, with nothing but open skies and endless farmland beyond.

And the loveliest surprise? You’re welcome to pick a few to take home.

Every season paints Tokachi in a different color. Some places are simply impossible to appreciate until you see them for yourself.

And now I see why people fall in love here.

Spring time in Brisbane was a great idea- perfect place to heal, reset and rest.

The perfect dose of sun I needed.

整整兩年沒有放假，當初如同對著牆上地圖亂射飛鏢一樣的隨性，決定了布里斯本。

想了很久是什麼讓我毫無排程的旅行還充電滿滿。或許是長期處在種必須「很精緻的狀態下」的東京來回生活，來到一個完全相反，極度放鬆不講究任何閱讀空氣的地方。只有最原始的大自然，甚至順應著日光的作息，但是澳洲的室內設計跟服裝還是一如往常地讓我好喜歡。

第一次體驗到 just go with the flow.
完蛋了，想常常回去怎麼辦？

It was golden at Gold Coast ☀️

最後一次前往澳洲是2019年的夏天，七年的心境變了不少。澳洲的大自然有一種特別的魔力，陽光特別的溫暖舒爽，白沙藍天，這種帶著自己的步調的慢活城市，總是會觸發自己二十多歲時候的回憶。

可能無法重過二十多歲，住在很白的城市的自己，但也多虧了那幾年的 not knowing any better，沒想太多的去體驗了一趟人生。

成了一個中年碗豆公主，馬桶墊沒法加溫可能都會唉唉叫。但大自然的魅力就是如此，即便生活比不上在東京跟台北所習慣的精緻、便利。但踩上白沙的那一刻，甚不喜歡戶外的我，也忍不住徜徉在陽光之下，整套旅行都沒有戴上耳機，海浪拍打的聲音，就是最自然的白噪音。

每天早上六點起來，發現整個城市都跟我一樣早起，拿著衝浪板，各類運動愛好者各種的不穿鞋子，街角的咖啡店坐滿了人。或許這樣的地方，才會記得拿掉很多東西後，跟最原始的自然和自己相處的感受，減法的生活也很愜意。

往返雪梨這麼多次，居然第一次才來黃金海岸，真的是如其名，一定要再回來。

Caught a glimpse of autumn breeze today on my walk home, and realized summer flew by so quickly with so many fun projects that’s defining our next stage.

Can’t wait to enjoy a very long due vacation in the southern part of the world.

August eats

八月，在過多應酬，努力飲控中度過了。

好像還是應該要發一下，大部分的時候我還是一個有氣質，吃社區型餐廳咖哩飯以及蛋餅、燒餅、蘿蔔糕等親切餐飲的人。

紙醉金迷的金箔壽司真的是久久才一次。

8 days has passed by so fast, never a dull moment with you @saya1121 and we should probably stop eating 😅

3 big events, multiple meetings and gatherings with friends, stomach is full and so is our hearts seeing everyone joining us.
