Meet Minuet “Min T” Charron 💥⁠
A Toronto based dance artist, creator and imaginator. Their movement blends Contemporary forms, Hip Hop, Breaking, gestural and pedestrian exploration to push what the body can express.⁠

An alum from Dance Arts Institute, Minuet trained in foundational Graham, Flying Low and Passing Through. Minuet has performed works by artists such as Peggy Baker and Naishi Wang. Today, she teaches and performs across the GTA, including at Dancelife X.⁠

I’m very awkward and uncomfortable in front of a camera, and generally dislike how I look in still images but yknow Aidan is gas with it and the photos came out looking SO FRESH 🔥

This one felt so good! Dance will always have my heart 💕
When I dance like this… when I walk, when I train at the gym, I am ever amazed by how the body works and moves and so thankful for what it can do!
Here’s to loving our bodies and empowering them with proper care so that we can move freely just like this!

Floorwork (Fresh edition) with Minuet Charron
🌀 February 2nd, February 9th, February 23rd, March 2nd
📅 Mondays 10:30AM - 12:00PM
📍 Main Studio at The Fifth Dance
❗Wear comfortable clothes covering shoulders and knees to prevent floor burn—kneepads encouraged.

What can I expect for Floorwork (Fresh edition)? 🤔
In this class, we dip into Minuet’s understanding of the intersection between Contemporary dance and Breaking, especially where they meet at the floor. Using improvisation, we centre ourselves and explore our own floor patterns, alongside given movements and sequences to practice, take apart, and rebuild as we flow upwards and downwards. We’ll learn a danceable sequence, then cool down with open exchange, staying connected to music, grooves, and community. Expect sweeps, rolls, spins, squats, crawls, hops, drops, and plenty of dancing!

Minuet “Min-T” Charron (She/They) Is a dance artist, creator, and imaginator based in Toronto, ON. Originally hailing from Nova Scotia, Minuet has trained in various forms of concert and street dances. They mainly practice Contemporary and Hip Hop and continue exploring, educating, and expanding their overall knowledge about these styles, their joy, and understanding of them.
An alumna from Dance Arts Institute, Minuet has been trained extensively in Contemporary dance forms including foundations of Graham, Inspired by Fighting Monkey, Flying Low and Passing Through, and has had the honour of performing works by Peggy Baker, Naishi Wang, Ashley “Colours” Perez, Tanveer Alam, Ryan Lee, and Elke Schroeder.
Minuet continues to perform, teach, and explore Contemporary dance, while also giving time to their Breaking and freestyle practices through attending battles, sessions, and community events.
