Two cinderblocks? Yea ok problem💅🧈

So excited to earn my 2nd degree black belt (Ni Dan) today! Being a black belt is an honor and priviledge and I truly love teaching karate. I can’t believe it’s already been 10 years since I started - I never would have imagined my church auction raffle for 6 months of karate lessons would have changed my life so profoundly. I’m deeply grateful to my incredible dojo @eastplanomartialarts and my teachers Renshi Tracy Dickey @tracy.dickey.92 and Sensei LB Herbert @lbherbert who continue to always push me to grow as both a karateka and person. Also a special shoutout to my testing buddy and karate brother Mr. David Campbell @exodus7280 demolishing his blocks next to me - already looking forward to our next karate challenge! To my dojo family, thank you for all your support, encouragement, and love.

As some of you know, the past year was has been particularly difficult for me after some significant health incidents. I was terrified that I wouldn’t be able to be back on the dojo floor again and I’m ecstatic to be gifted the ability to continue to train. My recovery is all largely due to the support from my dojo, friends, and the neverending support, love, and sacrifices from my loving parents. So I may have earned this new rank, but my community deserves just as much praise. Thank you for being on this journey with me❤️

Girls trip finally made it out of the group chat (all it took was Emily literally getting married)!!

Had the time of my life celebrating @emily_degarmo ‘s bachelorette trip for 4 days in Fredericksburg and Austin!! I can’t believe she’s gonna be a bride next month🥹So incredibly grateful to have such wonderful best friends💞 taken in Austin, Texas by @minuki_m

Yesterday was one of the most incredible nights as I got the chance to watch my best friend get married to her childhood sweetheart and love of her life. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Masinag!! @emily_masinag @kelvinmasinag 🤍🤍🤍

As many of you know, Emily and I have been glued at the hip ever since we became best friends in 5th grade. She is one of the most wonderful people with such a genuinely good heart. I’ll never run out of enough good things to say about Em nor will I ever run out of boundless love. She’s stood by me through both the best times and worst and I know she’ll be there for the rest of my life just like I will be there for her. Kelvin is kind, understanding, funny and supportive and I’m grateful that he takes such good care of her. I still remember hearing about her crush, first date, and so many beautiful moments in betweem. I’m so so so happy for this perfect couple. Love you always Em, and Kelly you’re adopted in too by extension🫡
