Meet John Glidden, our Vice President and 4th generation of the family helping run Minus33 & L.W. Packard.

John is one of our textile engineers, graduating from the Philadelphia College of Textiles & Science, and has been working here ever since. With over 50 years of experience in the textile industry, John brings an incredible depth of knowledge to the team.

From weaving and knitting processes to fiber composition, twist, and shrinkage, John knows textiles inside and out.

When he’s not in the office, you’ll likely find John hunting, fishing, raising chickens and pigs, or working in his garden.

John’s favorite piece is his Lightweight 100% Merino T-Shirt, which he wears almost every day. A close second is our Microweight ¼ Zip Sunhoodie.

Pilling doesn’t mean your wool is worn out. It means it’s being worn.

Friction can cause those little fibers to surface over time, especially in high-contact areas. The good news? A little care can go a long way.

Turn it inside out. Wash it with care. Tumble dry low. And remove any stubborn pills when needed.
