What an amazing exhibition at @umn_nash I had to leave the presentation a tad early to make sure I had time to walk through the gallery. While everyone was in the auditorium, I was able to admire history I was so blessed and honored to be a part of with minimal distractions that a large crowd can cause. Walking through these walls brought back the emotions of the movement. I got choked up thinking about it. Sure sadness crept in but it was the power of that movement amongst other artists! We started something that will be memorialized forever! The power of art and advocacy is a wonderful thing! Man, it was overwhelming. We as artists did that! And many of us did it without recognition, without compensation… it wasn’t about that. Thank you Lisa and Amira for including me when you had hundreds to choose from. What a wonderful thing you’ve done! #blm #memorializethemovement #socialjustice #artasadvocacy #mneruvian73 #mplsartist #bipocartist taken in Katherine E. Nash Gallery by @miradan2018
