What continues to move me is how much women already carry within them.

What we do together is create safety and space, with intention and intuition, for it to surface, move, and settle.

If you’d like to explore working together around a meaningful threshold in your life, you’re welcome to DM me “THRESHOLD.”

If this is for you, or for someone you love. 🤍

I’ve heard so many women share that, after a miscarriage, the only care they received was medical care for something that was so much more than medical.

Just as we understand that a woman giving birth needs time, care, presence, nourishment and space to tend to all that has been touched by the experience, a woman experiencing loss deserves that too.

Her body and heart. Her relationships. Her grief and soul deep pain of loss.

There is so much more to tend to than what can be measured medically.

This has been single handily the most challenging but most life giving lesson of my life. To shift my worth and how I approach life from doing and fixing…to receiving. And what I hold all of my work within.

That the body and womb space aren’t something to fix, but to return to.

I offer hands-on Womb Healing in West Michigan, and virtual Womb Healing and Breathwork for anyone ready to work with fertility, birth healing, postpartum, pelvic and menstrual pain, trauma and loss, as well as ceremony to honor significant thresholds in life.

You can book a hands-on session in West Michigan or a virtual session from wherever you are — link in bio. ✨

In honor of Mother Bereavement Day, I’m sharing what @jasminerose.ca once said to me—“that all pregnancies end in a birth…”

Miscarriage changes you—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Your body doesn’t just let go—it opens.
Your cervix softens and dilates. Your uterus contracts.
Your body initiates a birthing process, even when the world offers no ritual, no recognition.

And science tells us that fetal cells cross the placenta and live on inside you, embedded in your heart, your brain, your organs. Your baby is gone, and yet—part of them remains with you, forever.

Spiritually, you cross a sacred threshold.
You’ve held life and death in the same breath.
Do you see the power held within you?
You’ve become a mother in the quiet, in the shadows.

If this is your story I honor your strength, your sorrow, your invisible rite of passage.

If you’re needing, join me for an individual womb healing + breathwork session to help your body process the grief it still carries and see what is on the other side.

Becoming & Belonging, a day retreat hosted by Mindful Matrescence, is created for folks who are pregnant, newly postpartum, or moving through the early years of motherhood.

“Becoming” because that’s exactly what you’re doing. No matter where you find yourself along the matrescence continuum, you are transforming.

You are alchemizing.

You are embodying what it means to expand, release, create, and integrate.

“Belonging” because maybe that’s what you’re craving. We’re always asking ourselves, “where is the village?”

Consider that for our generation the village must be built, not found.

And maybe we don’t have to start from square one. Maybe all we need is an opportunity to gather and see what already exists between us.

Each of us will arrive carrying something different — questions, tenderness, exhaustion, joy, grief, rage, experience, hope — and together we will cultivate a space where we can slow down, tune in, and honor the shared experience of matrescence.

Throughout our day you will be invited into:

🌀facilitated circle sharing
🌀gentle movement, breathwork, and meditation
🌀guided and open time in nature
🌀ritual, reflection, and integration practices
🌀connection with local reproductive health practitioners
🌀nourishing food, warm beverages, and spacious conversation

Whether you are awaiting your baby’s arrival, integrating your birth experience, or finding your footing in the early years of motherhood, we honor all that you are Becoming.

Now, let us honor your Belonging, too.

🔗Register at: bit.ly/becomingandbelonging (also in bio)

Babies in arms are welcome. Nursing is also welcome and a private place to pump/nurse will be provided.

To maintain the integrity of this Circle, spots at each of the three payment tiers are limited.

Payment Tiers:

Community Care: $100

Steady Income: $150

Pay It Forward (supports Community Care pricing): $200

Customized payment plans available (always).

When I learned about ‘external orientation’—I thought to myself—wow, that’s how I’ve experienced so much of my life.

Growing up with comments about our bodies and other women’s appearances can take us away from our center and experiencing our true self. Because, instead, we become hyper attuned to how we’re being perceived.

But there’s a process to coming back, and it’s a beautiful one.

This is something we can process and shift within The Threshold Portal and breathwork sessions. Link in bio to book a session✨ by @miriambouve

DM “BIRTH” if your birth still affects you
and you want it to feel differently.

You don’t need your birth to have been different
to change how you carry it.

I help mothers change how their birth —
and initiation into motherhood
live in their body and affect their lives.

This is for mothers who:
– replay parts of their birth or feel stuck on how it went
– feel disconnected from their body, their baby, or themselves as a mother
– carry blame or anger — toward themselves, providers, partner or others — and don’t know what to do with it
– wish their birth had gone differently and want peace with it
– experience pelvic symptoms or discomfort that began after birth

Many births are never witnessed for how deeply they affect a woman.
I offer a modern day way of processing and honoring this rite of passage.

I’m a mother and former pelvic physical therapist
who has seen how unintegrated births
continue to affect women — physically, emotionally and spiritually.

My work is not a replacement for psychotherapy. Sexual trauma is layered, and healing often benefits from multiple forms of support.

For deeper insight into the spiritual dimensions of sexual abuse healing, I recommend the book Healing by one of my teachers David Elliott.

Miscarriage is not only a loss.
It changes a woman.

Often quietly, and without words.
This is naming what many carry. 🤍

I don’t believe a woman can process her birth experience or any life altering experience through the mind alone.

Honestly, I have tried, as my mind is a seemingly comfortable place I’m wired to go. But really, we need space as women where we can drop into the heart, to not just process but honor the woman, the person, the girl who did that. Who went through *that.*

This is where insight and a different vantage point can be accessed. What I believe most women are trying to find their way back to.

If you’re interested in working together to process your birth, or another life altering experience in a different kind of way send me a message or visit my website.

For those who sense that their relationship with their period isn’t only about hormones are biology—but how they were met, supported or left alone at the beginning.

The beginning shapes us. So does being met when we return to it. 🩸
