——-

Do you want to become a creative person? Too late… you already are.

This is how my book “The Magic of Creation” begins, a creative journal full of drawing tutorials, creative assignments and inspiration throughout all seasons. My book was published last February, after I worked on this book for a year from design to illustrations, ideas and text, this book was made entirely by me.

The perfect gift for that friend, girlfriend, aunt, sister, mother or cousin who is creative, but looking for fresh inspiration and challenges. Who would like to do something (more) with their hands and analog, instead of always on a screen. For those who want to embrace and experience the seasons through creativity.

Discover and create at any time of the year and awaken your creativity by browsing and doing in my book.

Published by @spectrumboeken @paperlife.nl available in Dutch at Amazon, bol.com, dille & kamille and many on- and offline bookstores by @mirjamderuiter

So proud of my illustrated cover for @kekmamamagazine and maybe even more of the article about labour positions.. which we managed to make feminine, delicate, but also realistic! Breaking the glass ceiling with these kind of illustrations in magazines right? ❤️ #laborpositions #kekmama #kekbaby #editoiralillustration by @mirjamderuiter

Creative block? Go to a cabin! Slow living at its best @nutchel_cabins where I got invited to work on my second book for a couple of days.. emerged in nature for some extra inspiration. And look how much came out of my hands! Truly recommend a solo trip into your creative bubble and this magical spot. New book is due to come out in March 2027! Stay tuned :)

The last few days I was reminded that we really need our community around us. To share, to laugh and to create together.

I feel so empowered and inspired again after having shared my skills, talents and laughter with so many different and beautiful women at @cobo_co art camp!

This illustration from 2024 reminded me of this feeling.. #community #femalecommunity #createtogether #busyhandsquietminds by @mirjamderuiter

More summer content coming your way! This editorial I made for @kekmamamagazine showing a “real” mom with maybe not the perfect body, but she’s enjoying the moment :) #editorial #realbody #mombody #mom by @mirjamderuiter
