POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

🏃‍♀️ More movement. More friendships. More opportunities to learn and another example of what your support of the Education Foundation makes possible! 💙

The Active Kids, Strong Futures grant at Woodway Elementary is helping 500+ students make the most of recess with new equipment and organized games that encourage kids to get moving, try something new and play together.

And they're learning a lot more than a new game along the way!
⚽ Cooperation and teamwork
💙 Building new friendships
💪 Resilience and sportsmanship
🙌 Responsibility and respect for rules
🏃 Staying active and engaged

Teacher Monique McIntyre has watched students who might not otherwise join an organized game learn the rules, jump in and discover new ways to connect with their classmates. Students have also taken ownership of caring for the equipment so it can continue serving Woodway students for years to come.

A big THANK YOU to Dealers Electrical Supply Co. for having this grant named in their honor and helping us build Active Kids and Strong Futures!

🐾 Haven't joined our Annual Campaign yet? What are you waiting for?
Your gift helps us say YES to more teacher ideas - big and small - that make school better for Midway students. 💙 Join the Foundation. Fund the next great idea.

Every gift has a story.

A microscope that helped a student see science differently.

A robotics kit that sparked curiosity and teamwork.

An airplane built by students who discovered what they're capable of when given the opportunity.

A classroom experience that turned learning into something unforgettable.

Most people don't remember the exact dollar amount of a donation.
They remember what it made possible.

At Midway ISD, gifts become experiences. Experiences become opportunities.

Opportunities become confidence, curiosity, leadership, and achievement.

And while each story begins differently, they all have one thing in common: Someone chose to invest in students.

Together, those individual stories become something much bigger a brighter future for Midway. Join the story. Make your gift to the 2026-27 Annual Drive today. by @misdfoundation

🎧 Sometimes a BIG impact starts with something as simple as a pair of headphones.
Thanks to a Midway Education Foundation grant named in honor of AmeriTex Pipe & Steel, all 631 students at Woodway Elementary now have access to headphones when they need them for digital learning.

The difference was immediate.

When students logged into Learning.com for their first digital citizenship lesson of the year, those who didn't have their own headphones were able to grab a pair funded through the grant. Suddenly, the competing iPad noise was gone. Students weren't looking around the room distracted by someone else's device. Everyone could hear, everyone could focus and everyone could participate.

And then came our favorite review:
💙 “Mrs. Cromie, that was so fun because I could hear it.”
Sometimes meeting a need really is that simple.

Thank you, AmeriTex Pipe & Steel, for helping remove one small barrier for 631 Midway students and giving their teacher one less thing to worry about as she focuses on helping them learn!

🐾 And if you haven't joined our Annual Campaign yet…what are you waiting for?
Your gift at any level helps us say YES to practical needs, creative ideas and meaningful opportunities that make learning better for Midway students every single day. 💙 Join the Foundation. Fund the next great idea.

💙 Your Annual Campaign gift doesn’t just fund things, it invests in PEOPLE who change what’s possible for students.

Through the Unmasking Every Child’s Potential grant, three Midway dyslexia educators from Midway Middle School and River Valley Middle School attended specialized professional learning focused not only on reading intervention, but on the confidence and self-belief of students with dyslexia.

And they brought that learning straight back to approximately 100 Midway students.
One of the biggest takeaways? Struggling with reading can affect the way a student sees themselves long after intervention ends. Our educators are now even more intentional about helping students recognize negative self-talk, celebrate their strengths, advocate for their accommodations, and persevere when reading gets difficult.

As Shelly Kunkle & Hope Bernal shared, the goal is for every student to leave dyslexia services “not only as a stronger reader but with greater confidence in themselves and the belief that they can achieve their goals.”
THAT is impact. 🐾
📚 Stronger readers.
💙 More confident students.
💪 Kids who know a challenge does not define their potential.

Haven’t joined our Annual Campaign yet? What are you waiting for? Your gift helps us invest in innovative resources, professional learning, and opportunities that equip our educators to better serve Midway students.

🐾 Join the Foundation. Invest in our educators. Help us fund what’s next.

What does your gift make possible?

A teacher with the resources to bring a new idea to life.
A student discovering a passion they never knew they had.
A scholarship that helps someone take the next step.
A leadership opportunity that builds confidence and character.
An innovative classroom experience that sparks curiosity and inspires learning.

At Midway ISD, every gift creates opportunities that extend far beyond a single moment. The impact can be seen in our classrooms, our campuses, and the lives of the students and educators we serve.

Because when a community invests in education, the possibilities are endless.
Look at the good we grow. Because of you.

Help us continue investing in the students, educators, and opportunities that make Midway extraordinary through our 2026-27 Annual Drive. by @misdfoundation

💙 Honor a Staff is back! 🐾

We’re kicking off our first Honor a Staff recognition of the 2026–2027 school year by celebrating our September honorees! 🎉

Honor a Staff gives Midway families, students, colleagues and community members a meaningful way to recognize a teacher or staff member who has made a difference - while giving back to Midway classrooms at the same time.

Gifts made through Honor a Staff support the Midway ISD Education Foundation’s classroom grant programs, so every recognition celebrates someone who makes Midway special and helps create more opportunities for our students and teachers. 💙
Last school year alone, our community recognized 76 Midway staff members and teams and raised more than $3,000 through Honor a Staff!

Congratulations to our September honorees, and thank you to the families, colleagues and community members who chose to celebrate them. We can’t wait to recognize even more of our incredible Midway staff this year!

👩‍🍳 Haven’t joined our Annual Campaign yet? Here’s another reason to get cookin’! 💙

The Let’s Get Cookin’ grant is giving Special Education students something much bigger than a cooking lesson, it’s giving them the tools to build independence, confidence and real-world skills.

With child-safe adaptive cooking equipment, students are learning to follow multi-step directions, measure ingredients, safely prepare food, practice hygiene, strengthen fine motor skills, experience new textures and temperatures, and work more independently.

And one of our FAVORITE results? 🌟
Students used their new skills to prepare items for 3rd Grade Market Day at South Bosque Elementary, participating right alongside their general education peers and they SOLD OUT in just 20 minutes! 🎉

That’s academics. That’s life skills. That’s inclusion. And that’s exactly what Foundation grants are all about.

💙 Our Annual Campaign is happening NOW. If you haven’t joined us yet, what are you waiting for?

Every gift ($25, $100, $500 or more) helps us put resources directly into the hands of Midway teachers so they can create experiences like this for their students.

🐾 Join the Foundation. Fund the next great idea. See what our students can do.

Sometimes a big impact starts with a closer look. 🔬💙

In Mrs. Copeman’s sixth-grade science classroom at Midway Middle School, Foundation-funded microscopes are giving students the chance to explore, investigate and see their learning in an entirely new way.

This is what giving to the Midway ISD Education Foundation looks like dollars from our community becoming real resources in the hands of Midway teachers and students.
And there’s another student story behind this one: 🎥 our Midway High School Film & Digital Media students filmed and produced this video, which is now being shown at Panther home football games!

One gift can become the next microscope, the next classroom tool or the next idea a teacher gets to say “yes” to. Join us through the 2026 Annual Campaign. 💙

Your gifts at work. 💙🐾

In Mr. Wade Copeman’s engineering classroom at Midway Middle School, students aren’t just learning how things work they’re designing, building and bringing their ideas to life.

Thanks to support from Midway ISD Education Foundation donors, resources like 3D printing technology give our students opportunities to turn concepts into something they can actually create. And that’s exactly what your generosity is meant to do: put tools in the hands of teachers and possibilities in the hands of students.

🎥 Even better? This story was filmed and produced by our own Midway High School Film & Digital Media students and is now playing at Panther home football games!

Want to help make the next classroom opportunity possible? Give to the 2026 Annual Campaign and be part of what happens next. 💙

Every day, Midway educators do more than teach lessons. They encourage curiosity, build confidence, challenge students to grow, and help shape the future of our community.

The impact of a great teacher extends far beyond the classroom. It can influence a student's path, inspire a dream, and change the trajectory of a life.

When we invest in educators, we invest in every student they serve.

Look at the good we grow. Because of you.

This is what community support looks like. ❤️💙

Back in August, our Midway families showed up for Raising Cane’s Give Back Night and all those chicken fingers added up! 🍗

Thanks to everyone who joined us, $810 was given back to the Midway ISD Education Foundation to help us continue creating opportunities for Midway students and supporting the teachers and classrooms that make them possible.

We’re so grateful to Raising Cane’s for being a community partner who invests back into our schools and to our Midway families for showing up again and again.

This is why Midway is such a strong district: our schools don’t do this work alone. Our families, businesses and community show up alongside us.

Thank you for being part of it. 🐾❤️💙
