It came as a shock to learn that my body was experiencing starvation due to insufficient caloric intake.

A Registered Dietitian from the Nourish app assessed my daily calorie consumption of 1300 calories and determined that I required a minimum of 2000 calories, resulting in a 600 calorie deficit. This meant I needed to boost my daily calories by around 700.

Furthermore, the Dietitian noted that my diet lacked balance, with inadequate carbohydrate and fat intake, leading to suboptimal nutrition. She hypothesized that this was likely the cause of my slowed metabolism and difficulty achieving weight loss. Following her recommendations, I restructured my meals to include all food groups and increased my per-meal calories from 350-400 to 675.

The first week I shifted my eating, I experienced increased energy levels and a reduction in knee pain, although some issues persist. I also gained 7 pounds 🤣

Here's an example of my revised breakfast, consisting of 650 calories and incorporating a balanced mix of nutrients. For now I plan to stay the advised course and give my body time to adjust so it will be okay to shift my metabolism and allow me to begin shedding pounds again. by @miss_lynnybrown

Happy Find! I’m a big fan of FB Marketplace especially as we continue to work on the house. Just landed 10 rolls of this pretty wallpaper for $30. ($3/roll). That sure beats my estimate of $450 for one feature wall in a bathroom. by @miss_lynnybrown

Since starting on a GLP-1 and getting more rest thanks to my Cpap, I’ve lost 29lbs so far. Though the scale doesn’t show it as much, I can feel more inches gone. The photo on the left was taken in July. Today I was chuckling about the white ring on my neck where the Sun had not seen under the double chin for years! 🤣 More than anything, I don’t look exhausted all the time now! I’ve a lot to be thankful for: good family, amazing friends, a safe home, my sweet soul husband, and so much more. On this Thanksgiving Day- what are you thankful for? ❤️❤️❤️ by @miss_lynnybrown
