I am plus one todayToday is my birthdayI am plus one todayToday is my birthday I will celebrate, jubilate, pop champagne, partey todayšŸ˜‚šŸ•ŗšŸ½Anywayssssss…The theme for today’s birthday is: life isn’t a Nigerian movie.Emeka will not always be exposed as the villain and Chioma may never get the vindication she deserves. There may never be a dramatic apology. No one may come back to say, ā€œYou were right all along.ā€ Sometimes people will misunderstand you, hurt you, leave, and continue living like nothing happened. And honestly? It will hurt.It will annoy you. It will pain you. You will want the missing piece of the story. You will want justice, answers, and closure. But sometimes life requires you to move on without all of that.Forgive. Release. Grow. Not every story ends with everyone admitting their mistakes. Not every wound gets an explanation. Not every wrong gets corrected. And please, don’t collect regrets like souvenirs. You are too young to spend your life looking backwards at everything you could have done differently.Live. Love. Make mistakes. Learn. Apologise. Try again.Because at the end of the day, the goal is not to prove you were right in every chapter. The goal is to become someone you are proud of when the story is finally told.Happy birthday to choosing peace, growth, and the courage to keep moving. šŸ¤#birthday #july #23rdjuly #growth #selfimprovement by @missforkuo

I have always believed that every Christian should excel. One day, after receiving a certain grade in school, I shared it with a friend. He simply quoted Daniel 6:3:ā€œThen this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm.ā€That Scripture arrested my spirit.I realized that Daniel wasn’t preferred because of luck or connections. He was preferred because of an excellent spirit. That day I made a covenant with the Holy Spirit:ā€œYou and I will change my world. I refuse to be ordinary. I will master whatever You place in my hands. I will become the most preferred, not for applause, but because I represent You.ā€From that moment, excellence stopped being an ambition and became a conviction.I discovered that favour may open a door, but excellence keeps you in the room. Prayer is not a substitute for preparation; the Holy Spirit empowers preparation until it produces undeniable results.I stopped studying just to pass. I started studying to become valuable. I stopped working to complete tasks and started working to reflect Christ. The Kingdom rewards value because excellence is one of the clearest expressions of God’s nature.Dr. Myles Munroe often said that the richest place on earth is the graveyard because so many people die with their potential still buried within them. I refuse to let that be my story. If my King is excellent, then mediocrity cannot become my testimony.Excellence is not pride.Excellence is stewardship.Excellence is worship. And I have never looked back.#excellence #apostlejoshuaselman #koinoniaglobal #mylesmunroe #christian by @missforkuo

MOVE! GOD IS NO LONGER THERE.As a believer, one of the greatest tragedies that can ever happen to you is staying where God is no longer leading you.I used to be a firm believer in holding on to things because, to me, everything we have is a gift. What I didn’t have was the discernment to know that I had outgrown some of those gifts. It went on for so long that even when friendships and relationships no longer served the woman God was training me to become, I fought to keep them. I carried the weight of people and situations because I convinced myself they were tests. Little did I know God was trying to lead me out of those seasons.I’m still learning, but one thing I’ve come to understand is that seasons are not always situations. Most times, seasons are people. They change. They evolve. Sometimes they’ve completed their assignment in your life, and sometimes you’ve completed yours in theirs.Yesterday, during a strategic training, one amazing woman, THE MAAME GAISEY, said something that has stayed with me: ā€œSometimes your most loyal employee is your highest risk.ā€ It made me reflect on how the places God has outgrown you from often feel the most comfortable. More often than not, those places are found in people.Don’t get me wrong. I’m not talking about the peace that comes with the people God has blessed you with. I’m talking about the seasons where the conversations no longer sharpen you, where the company you keep no longer aligns with where God is taking you, yet you stay because it’s familiar.Familiarity is not always confirmation.Comfort is not always God’s will. And history is not always a reason to stay.If there’s anything you should pray for, pray for discernment. Pray that you’ll know when a season has ended, when a person has completed their assignment, and when God is calling you into something new.Don’t miss your next season because you’re still holding on to the last one. @themaamegaisey thank you ā˜ŗļøā¤ļø#seasons #movingon #jesus #process #healing by @missforkuo

YOU WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH FOR THE WRONG PERSON.You can learn their hobbies. Laugh at jokes you don’t find funny. Rearrange your schedule. Change the way you dress. Become interested in the things they love. Delay your own dreams so theirs can come first. Give more chances than you should. Explain yourself over and over again. Keep trying to prove that you’re worth choosing. And it still won’t be enough. Not because you’re lacking, but because some people have already decided that nothing you do will ever satisfy them. When someone is committed to finding faults, they will overlook your sacrifices and magnify your mistakes. Many people lose themselves this way. They slowly trade their identity for acceptance, believing that if they just try a little harder, love will finally become easy. But healthy relationships are not built on constant auditions. You shouldn’t have to earn your place every single day by becoming less of yourself.God never asked you to build your life around someone else’s approval. He called you to walk in truth, not performance. The people who belong in your life will value who you are, not just what you can do for them.Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ. People pleasing is a losing battle. No amount of changing yourself will make the wrong people choose you, because their approval was never meant to define your worth. The moment your identity depends on human acceptance, you begin to compromise what God has called you to be.Galatians 1:10 reminds us that we cannot faithfully pursue God’s purpose while being controlled by people’s opinions. Live for God’s approval, not human applause. His ā€œwell doneā€ is worth more than the loudest applause the world can offer.#selfworth #healingjourney #process #becomingher #prayer by @missforkuo

YOU ARE TOO YOUNG TO LIVE IN REGRETI was doing a deep dive into my life and my past, and I found myself wishing I had never made certain utterances, behaved differently in some situations, and never given certain people access to me. My mind drowned in so much regret until it occurred to me that I have been on this earth for less than 30 years, and I already have regrets. Then I remembered David. David made mistakes. He had failures, scandals, and moments that could have defined him forever. Yet he could still say in Psalm 51:10, ā€œCreate in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.ā€ The beauty of God’s mercy is that it does not deny our mistakes; it redeems them. It rewrites stories. I am not saying we should be careless or casual with life. We should live intentionally and make choices that honour God and ourselves. But dear young person, you are too young to let regret become your identity. Making mistakes is pardonable. Growth often comes with wrong turns and hard lessons. Just make sure you do not do things that destroy the root which are your values, your faith, your integrity, and the person God is shaping you to become. And if you are in a season filled with regret, remember this: so long as you have life, you still have the opportunity to rewrite your story. Do not wait for death, thinking it will erase your story. Stories are not passive elements; they are imprinted on the hearts of men. So live fully, even through your mistakes. Live hopefully, believing that your story can change. Today, I choose to forgive the part of me that did not know any better. The part of me that wanted to be chosen, so she settled. The part of me that wanted to be seen, so even in dimly lit rooms, she convinced herself she was visible. Today, I choose to walk the path that God has chosen for me. Choose yourself as well. Like David, I may have chapters I wish I could rewrite, but I serve a God who still authors beautiful endings. Because mercy still rewrites stories, and as long as there is breath in your lungs, God is not finished with yours.#pastmistakes #regret #heartbroken #movingon #salvation by @missforkuo

1 Corinthians 13:13 (NIV)ā€œAnd now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.ā€These past few weeks, while reflecting in prayer and on God’s Word, I have also been reflecting on my worth as a person. This season has made me question people’s actions, the things they say, and sometimes, in the silence, I simply wonder. I wonder if I ask for too much, love too deeply, or expect from people what they cannot give. But yesterday, as I sat with the words, ā€œAnd the greatest of these is love,ā€ something shifted in me.We often hear that ā€œlove isn’t enough.ā€ For a long time, I believed that too. But after spending time in God’s Word, I have come to a different conclusion: love is enough.Because God is love. And if God is love, then love cannot be shallow, careless, or selfish. In love, there is kindness, patience, sacrifice, understanding, accountability, gentleness, consistency, and grace.Love sees. Love listens. Love considers. Love communicates. Love protects. Love chooses. The problem is not that love isn’t enough. The problem is that many of us have experienced things that were called love but lacked the character of love itself. So today, I choose to remember my worth. I refuse to measure my value by who stays, who leaves, who understands me, or who doesn’t. I choose to rest in the truth that I am fully loved by God.And perhaps the greatest lesson this season is this: never settle for anything that calls itself love but does not look like God. šŸ¤#healing #love #godislove #jesus #godlymarriage by @missforkuo

One day a friend came to me for advice on her relationship. Around that time, I found myself in a similar season, and there was no way I could give her a good word. I told her, ā€œLet’s pray about it,ā€ and said there’s a way you’d know a person is from God by using God’s love for you as a yardstick.Looking back, I’m actually glad I responded that way. If I had spoken any further, I would have projected my fears onto her. I would have spoken from my situation rather than from God’s wisdom. That experience taught me something important: when you’re in a difficult season, you must be careful how you counsel people. Sometimes what we call discernment is actually fear. Sometimes what we call wisdom is simply our wounds looking for a microphone. As mentors, leaders, and accountability partners, we must be careful not to project our failed lives onto people. The fact that a particular formula did not work for you does not mean it will not work for someone else. The fact that you made a mistake does not mean God cannot lead someone differently.Too often, we try to protect people from our pain instead of pointing them to God.Don’t use your mistakes to shape people. Use your strengths. Use the wisdom God has given you. Most importantly, use the Word of God. Let Scripture be the foundation of your counsel, not your disappointments.Your failure is not a prophecy over someone else’s future. And to mentees, be discerning. Test every counsel against the Word of God, but don’t become so cynical that you reject wise counsel altogether. One of God’s greatest gifts to us is people. Throughout Scripture, God used men to instruct, guide, warn, encourage, and bless others.God still does that today.Sometimes God speaks through people. The key is learning to discern when someone is speaking from God’s wisdom and when they are speaking from their emotions.Never miss either lesson. šŸ¤āœØ#discernment #prayer #mentorship #girlpower #jesĆŗs by @missforkuo

I started Sashed With Excellence in 2023 (one day I’ll share my billionaire story by saying I started with one cedi lol šŸ˜‚).And I started because sometimes as a student, you need extra money for your shenanigans 🤭That year, I got 20 orders. Through all the ups and downs, I’ve still been standing here, faithful and consistent ✨Slide 1 and 2 when I started SWE 🌸Slides 3 & 4 are me graduating with my master’s degree while running SWE šŸŽ“Slides 5 & 6 are me still running SWE🄹Looking at these slides reminds me that you do not need to have it all figured out before you start. Sometimes you just start small, stay consistent, and trust the process šŸ’›And because of that, I want to open this up to students who also want to make money while on campus šŸ“šAll you need is 0 capital ā˜ŗļøAnd you get a commission on each sash you bring šŸ’øPlease repost and share this post with everyone šŸ¤All the details you need to know are in slide 7.Sometimes the best stories start with just one cedi and consistency āœØšŸš€Safe to say one cedi and a dream 😓 #billionaire #ghana #ceo #studententrepreneur #university by @missforkuo

The Place Called AheadI’ve realized that most of us tolerate spaces because there’s this fear that we’d not get better places.Sometimes where you are now may seem good, not because it is the best place for you, but because you are afraid to go into the maze to find better. The familiar feels safe, even when deep down you know you have outgrown it.We stay because comfort convinces us that what we have is all there is. We stay because uncertainty feels risky. We stay because fear often makes the known look better than the unknown. But if you dare to go out into the maze, I bet you’d find better.I’m not talking about people who fail to appreciate the blessings God has brought their way. Gratitude matters.I’m referring to those moments when deep down, you know in your heart that God has much more for you in a land called ahead. That quiet unrest you feel is not random. That discomfort is not meaningless. It may just be God showing you that where you are is no longer where you are meant to remain.Fear will always make comfort look like destiny. But God has so much for you. There is a place called ahead, and you will never find it if you keep settling in the place called comfortable. This is a seasoned word for someone:do not let fear keep you where familiarity has kept you. There is more. There is better. There is a place called ahead.~R.
