To me, the true purpose of leadership is not be seen, but to help others see themselves.Standing in front of those students, I found myself thinking about their futures. Not just what they will do, but who they will become.My hope is they left knowing that they never have to limit themselves to just one path or one version of who they are. They are allowed to explore, evolve, take chances, and say yes to opportunities that challenge them. Some of the most meaningful moments in life happen when we stop letting fear make our decisions and start believing that we are capable of more.Because sometimes all it takes is one conversation, one example, or one person who believes in you to change the way you see yourself. And if even one student walked away believing they belong in every room their dreams lead them to, then that is the kind of impact I hope to continue making.#MissHawaiiUSA #misshiusa #roadtomissusa #missusa by @misshiusa

Day 1 at Disney! 🏰✨I don’t know who was more excited…us or the keiki. 😂Between racing to our favorite rides, convincing ourselves we definitely had room for one more churro, and stopping every five minutes for “just one more picture,” I’d say we made the most of it!The kind of day where you lose track of time because you’re having too much fun. I’m proud to serve as a community partner for HomeAid Hawaiʻi. Every home built, every family supported, and every life restored is a reminder that lasting change begins when communities choose to care for one another.At 17 years old, my family and I evacuated a war zone with everything we owned packed into a single suitcase. When we returned home to my childhood home of Hawaiʻi, we faced a different kind of uncertainty, housing displacement. For months, we lived together in one hotel room, learning firsthand that the housing crisis doesn’t always look the way people expect.Home isn’t just a roof over your head. It’s stability. It’s dignity. It’s the place where children feel safe, families can rebuild, and hope has room to grow.Today, that reality continues to impact so many people across our communities.
