Massive thanks to all those that braved the outrageous rain, wind and stormy 🌊 on Friday here in Hastings!Hopefully it was all worth it! The ‘Second to None’ guest DJ’s (@tony_second_to_none and @waxd.ee aka The Wax Buzzard) delivered an unbelievable session for us. 🫠🔊 — If I’m honest, probably amongst the best DJs I’ve ever heard in my life (that’s a lot!) — with many, many records I’d never heard or seen before!! 🤯 For me, it was a landmark event and was everything that The Get Down attempts to represent. 🔥🤯Smiling faces, sore feet 💃 and beyond killer records. I know the weather, coupled with a temporary shift of venue put off many which was a damn shame for a few reasons. Mike and his team at @thepigvenuehastings 🐷 were incredibly hospitable and the sound 🔊 was outstanding too. I appreciate it was never going to be quite the same vibe as our intimate basement space at the WhiteRock hotel or at least until we can get a couple 💯 funky folks on a regular. The good news of course is that we are back in our spiritual home on Fri 5th April & will be celebrating our 1 YEAR birthday 🎂 🎉 of this south coast FUNK phenomenon! The Get Down is spoiling you beyond rotten and flying in an extra special guest from Munich, Germany for one night only in the UK!! 🇬🇧 .. Welcoming one of the foremost global authorities on all things FUNK related, DJ Florian Keller!! @floriankeller45 — Please HELP make this a memorable one by sharing the date and event to anyone you think will love the vibe of what we are doing, it really will go a long way! Thanks so much for the support on this 1 year Funk journey so far! 🙏 See you at The Get Down - first Fridays of the month…FOREVER! #thegetdown #funk #funky #funkrelated #deepfunk #soul #latin #funkysoul #breaks #drumsofdeath #gigs #vinylonly #recordnerds #funknight #hastings taken in Hastings, East Sussex by @mistaone

Something different for the weekend.. Like your music with an alternative groove and a heavy FUNK?!! 🔊💃🍻 The Get Down is a monthly shindig with some of the lands (and beyond) best original vinyl Funk n related DJs. Now on to the 6th episode in the basement of THE WHITE ROCK HOTEL and slowly building a reputation and gaining a lovely mixed bunch of regular Get Downers! A number of which frequently travelling many miles as “you just can’t get this anywhere else” ☺️. With another incredible line up of record spinners for Friday - we have Swindon’s and arguably one of the UKs finest more obscure 45 flippers DJ @matt_baila - expect a lot of unheard funkiness from across the globe, drum break doubles and psych/ Latin overtones aplenty! More than excited to welcome Tony Higgins aka ‘The Jazz Dad’ - with records to die for in the stash, I can’t wait to hear what the @the_jazz_dad brings to the table(s). DJ Oneofakind (moi) will be gluing it altogether with a combo of trademark Deep Funk and classic selections from across the spectrum. There’s nothing quite like it on a monthly basis! EVERY 1st FRIDAY OF THE MONTH! 7-12pm. White Rock Hotel, Hastings — £5 cash on door preference 🙏💃🥁🔊 #funk #deepfunk #funk45 #funkysoul #funkyjazz #breaks #latin #raregrooves #vinyl #vinyldj #funknight #goodpeople #hastings #gigs #thegetdown taken in The White Rock Hotel by @mistaone

Inspired by Japanese patterns, materials and graphic styles. From the neon of the big city to the wood of nature. The highlights include a massive neon sign and a full ceiling wrap. The project includes * Logo design * Graphic design * Bespoke Typeface * Interior design * Motion design * Artworking The brand is cheeky, fun and a new eating experience in Guernsey. Ramen, poke bowls and Katsu are served in this small and compact space.
