On an Instagram page of a guy named Godfrey who's a comedian, he posted something talking about some contributions that black people have done over the years. Of course conservative trolls showed up and said he was lying and that black people had never done anything for this country. I've had this book for decades, it was published in 1969, and of course Dad gave it to me. The trolls may never see it, but it's the only book I still have left because I've moved around a lot. by @mitchmitchell_lpool

The tree's been taken care of... most of it anyway. I was there for the first hour before I went to work; it was fascinating to watch, but the noise was deafening. The cost was $1,800 plus tax, but there were 7 guys working on it so I wasn't mad. The last two pictures was the stump; the guy said it would break his equipment if he tried getting through it, so it remains there for eternity. 😁 by @mitchmitchell_lpool

Earlier in the year, I was talking about a lot of wind storms in this area, but that was when we were also getting a lot of snow. Over the last two weeks, there's been more wind storms, along with rain, but there wasn't any snow so I didn't pay that much attention except for all the noise it was making. The thing is, I never go anywhere outside of the house into the backyard because I'm just like that; if you asked anybody who lives in this area that knows me, you know I'm telling the truth.

About an hour ago I took my car to Midas because I need new brakes on the left side. Instead of staying in there sitting room, I decided to walk back from Midas to the house, which took me between 20 and 25 minutes (probably a bad idea...).

When I got close to the house, I took a look to the left and I saw a giant tree or branch in the back yard had fallen, but I'm not sure exactly when. Then I walked around the rest of the house, and I saw some other things that one of these days I'll need to take care of. All of that's going to have to wait until I do something with my car; it's always me! 🤣 by @mitchmitchell_lpool

My first protest march was kind of a mixed bag. I was glad I was there, there were between 6,000 and 7,000 people, and all the chants that people were making, along with the cars honking their horns and support was very uplifting. My problem was that the temperature was around 26°, the snowfall vacillated between very light and slightly between light and medium snow, and the neuropathy in my feet started hurting me so bad that I barely made it an hour before I had to leave. Still, i was glad I went, and if there's another one in three months and I can go, and it's warmer, i'm going! 😁 by @mitchmitchell_lpool

The Syracuse Airport is undergoing some visible improvements, which includes the SYR part of the front. I love it, and can't wait until they add more touches to make it spectacular. by @mitchmitchell_lpool

Extra stuff. Days ago, it was -5°, and the snow blower easily did its job. It was slightly problematic when I get out of the driveway this morning, but it was a royal mess trying to get in to the driveway and eventually into the garage. It was also 30°, and I never thought to zip up my coat because it felt wonderful, but it took me extra time because the snow blower wasn't having it and I had to get the shovel. That's life in central New York if you don't want to pay exorbitant fees for someone else to do it! 👏🏾 by @mitchmitchell_lpool
