i never thought the day for this post would come, and i’m definitely not ready for it, but it’s time. dance marathon, all i can say is thank you. thank you for the friends you have given me. thank you for letting me learn more about myself than i ever could have imagined. and thank you for letting me fight for something so much larger than myself. i started doing this my junior year of high school just to be involved in something, and i had no clue that it would change my life as much as it did. it was there for me when i was in the darkest of places, and it brought so much light into my life, through the work i was doing and through the people i met. thanks to this organization, i see the bigger picture. there are things so much bigger than ourselves that are worth fighting for, and with a motivated group of people, we are unstoppable. so, once again, thank you. to my vice president, brynn, thank you for trusting me with guiding community engagement throughout the year. i can only hope that i made you proud, and that we brought the importance of the children’s hospital to the greater columbia community. to my amazing staffers, thank you for making this year incredible. you are the most motivated group of kids i have ever seen, and i can’t wait to continue to watch you grow and do great things like this. to the executive board, thank you for your hard work that i got to see this year. DM 28 was like no other, and i owe so much credit to you all. to the board of directors, thank you for embracing me. i know i may be a lot and have some crazy ideas, but you heard me out, and some of the ideas we got to put forth together were incredible. and finally, thank you to our president, izzy. i still remember the day we met freshman year on morale, and i am so happy that i got to see you shine this year. DM 28 could not have happened without your leadership, and i am so honored to be your friend. remember, this isn’t goodbye. this is just see you later. :) by @mitraminter
