“If someone with an incredibly posh living room also had the means to employ a live-in sushi chef, it might look something like this West Village Japanese restaurant. The omakase counter towards the back keeps things quiet, even if you sit in the à la carte section. Drink something off the extensive list of sake, and try the seabass tempura with ginger tartar sauce.” - The Infatuation

Red wine doesn’t pair with sushi.” Actually, we think it does.

Marquis d’Angerville is a pioneering domaine in the Côte d’Or, now in its third generation. Guillaume and his daughter Margot run the estate and are a perfect example of a producer whose wines can truly sing with our menu. What stands out most is their balance. There’s boldness and depth of flavor without being overly extracted or rich, elegance while still maintaining a strong identity. The reds are particularly enjoyable with fattier or richer fish like toro (tuna) or saba (mackerel), but D’Angerville wines, red or white, have the finesse and the lightness of touch to work alongside lighter fish like madai (sea bream) or kanpachi (amberjack). We’re super excited to host a special pairing menu celebrating the wines of Marquis d’Angerville. A sweet opportunity to explore these remarkable cuvées side by side. -Ben Otto- Lead Sommelier

We love problem solving, so when @grantissimi asks if you can Indigo dye a floor… you say yes. Probably one of the most fun and rewarding projects we’ve done to date.

We hand stained the entire floor of @mitsurunyc, a new Omakase Wine Bar in the west village with organic indigo.

A big thank you to @lizthekiid for diving in and assisting. We were blue for days.

Head there for the wine & delicious food, and to see the floor 😘💙
