trying to make the right decisions instead of the same ones constantly, think less listen more.
I’m using pieces of hardware in places I never normally would to see if I can find some fun/new combos.
On this mix I’m using;
Kick - Chandler Germanium tone control
Snare - Chandler LTD
Parallel comp - Distressors 20:1
Parallel saturation - Culture Vulture
Rooms - Retro STA-Level for compression then EL Fatso to control cymbals.
No drum reverb, still lots of work to go.

Super proud of @diyrecordingstudio and @mitta_norath for building one of the best pro-audio podcasts in Australia with @audioboispodcast.

@crystal_mastering and I flew up to Newcastle yesterday to join them for an epic episode, and honestly, it felt like a proper example of what the Australian audio industry can be on an international stage.

Not just people talking about community, but actually showing up for one another.

I was originally going to head up solo, but invited Joe because I think it matters that we lead and support eachother as a collective. As engineers who can stand beside each other, share ideas, push the conversation forward, and set the best example for the next generation coming up.

Big love for having us. It was an honour to be part of it. by @mitta_norath
