Lately I’ve been getting calls to DJ a lot more often and I just been vibing the entire time, so it’s dope to be captured in my zone. Thanks to MDE (Mississippi Department of Education) for booking for their Thrive conference I had fun, educators are always a good time. Thanks to @lgeorgephotography for the photos, I showed these to a few friends and everyone said the same thing, a photo I’m actually smiling 😂😂. I’m just enjoying life at this point in my life as @dearsilas would say I ain’t stressing today or tomorrow. Let’s live life. by @mixedbyjroc

Emmy Award Winning show?!?!?! 🤯 God is so amazing. This opportunity still is amazing no matter how many shows we have done, I’m always grateful for the call to run lights. Thanks @bamitchellswap and @ritabrentcomedy for the opportunity to be part of this vision. Two great shows to a great start of season two. by @mixedbyjroc

Another call. Another opportunity.

One of my homies @bamitchellswap hit me up and needed me to handle audio for an HGTV shoot. No hesitation, just “you available?”

Grateful to be in rooms where my name gets brought up when it’s time to work.

Even more grateful to keep documenting the journey and actually show the craft this time.

Every set is sharpening me. Every opportunity is building something bigger.

TV is just the start. Films and movies are next.

Let’s work. Think it’s time to change from mixedbyjroc to something new 🤔

For the past few months, I’ve been thinking about getting back into TV and film doing sound.

Didn’t force it. Just had it on my heart.

Then this opportunity came up.

In the middle of talking with the production team, something came up that almost cost me the job. Not my skill. Not my experience.

I didn’t have photos of my work.

No proof. Just “trust me, I got it.” And that almost closed the door.

At the same time, I had just lost a job I had for almost 5 years.

But here’s what I’ve learned. God never stopped providing. Not once. I’ve been working ever since.

And now I’m walking into new rooms I’ve been praying about.

So now, I document everything.

Every set. Every setup. Every moment I’m working.

Because your work deserves to be seen, not just experienced.

This isn’t just pictures. This is obedience. This is preparation meeting opportunity.

And this is proof that God answers.

This week has been a week full of late night early mornings and I didn’t even capture everything. But I Thank God for every opportunity. From running lights, to DJing to running a full production and livestream for GPG outside Bible study. God is GOOD. by @mixedbyjroc

Yesterday running FOH, I decided I wanted to break out the @wavesaudio super rack Performer and let me tell you, it did not disappoint running with the @presonus 32R and I used strictly an iPad for this show. Not a fan but it saves space and time. Of course we ran the CDL’s again. Sounded great used @bluemicrophones 300 mic on podium and definitely is great for that, if I’m not using a gooseneck or want some low key it’s always the 300 for me. taken in Jackson Medical Mall Thad Cochran Center by @mixedbyjroc
