Last Wednesday we had the honor of capturing the heartbeat behind the National Prayer Service for Nolan Wells. Lights, audio, cameras, cables, all the unseen pieces and unexpected hurdles coming together. This is a glimpse of our reality, the prep, the teamwork, the quiet moments before the stage comes alive. We are so grateful to document a moment rooted in faith, excellence, and purpose. I’m also thankful that I have a great team who dropped everything they were doing to make this happen.

Every moment of After Hours is intentional. In a culture where so many names are loud, celebrated, and constantly being lifted, we still believe there is power in the name of Jesus.

And when we call His name, we’re not just singing lyrics or filling a room with sound. We believe something happens when Jesus is declared. Atmospheres can shift. Hearts can soften. Burdens can become lighter. Lives can change.

Because After Hours was never created just to give people another place to go. It was created to give us a place to seek Him.

Jesus isn’t someone we simply make mention of during After Hours. He isn’t a part of the program, a moment in the night, or someone we invite into something we’ve already planned.
He is the reason we gather. He is the purpose of it all.

We come to seek Him.
To bless Him.
To serve Him.
To worship Him.
To call on His name.

Even the songs we choose are intentional, because every moment should point us back to Him. Jesus is not a feature of After Hours. He is the focus. And our prayer is that people don’t simply leave saying, “That was a beautiful night.”
We pray they leave saying, “I encountered Jesus.” If you haven’t experienced After Hours yet, you don’t want to miss the next one. There really is something about the name of Jesus.

So many of you have asked, “Hey, who was on the team that night?” And I’m excited to start introducing them. These are the people who prayed, served, and stewarded the room with such care. Last week, we did a thing…

After Hours: Worship was born from a burden God placed on my heart.

I wanted to create a space for people who may not have a church home, who may feel out of place in traditional settings, or who simply long to encounter God without the pressure of performance, expectations, or appearances.

A place where you don’t have to impress anyone.
A place where you can lay down the filters.
A place where worship is genuine, creativity is surrendered, and every heart is welcome.

At @alistcreativemedia , we spend our days creating content. But when the cameras stopped rolling and the workday ended, After Hours became our way of keeping the doors open—not just for creators, but for anyone who desired to encounter the Creator.

We literally cleared the content space because, for those moments, it was no longer about production. It was no longer about performance. It became sacred ground where every song, every prayer, every instrument, and every surrendered heart was offered back to God.

This isn’t just another worship event.

It’s a movement toward authentic encounters with God’s presence. A place where artistry becomes worship and worship becomes the atmosphere.

What God did through every singer, musician, engineer, volunteer, and worshipper during our very first After Hours: Worship was nothing short of beautiful. His presence filled the room in a way that reminded us why this was needed.

I can’t hold it any longer! “Late Night with Rita Brent,” is nominated for its first Southeast EMMY award, y’all! I was shocked after we won our first Mississippi Association of Broadcasters Award, now THIS!! WE DID THIS!! Thank you ALL for selling out every show in Season 1 then watching the show on Sundays on FOX 40 News - WDBD! We are making major noise in the industry and we’re just getting started! I can’t believe a casual conversation between me and @bamitchellswap / @alistcreativemedia has led to this, BUT GOD!

I am floored to announce that my talk show, “Late Night with Rita Brent,” won its first major award! Thank you, Mississippi Association of Broadcasters, for seeing us! This is my reminder to trust God unquestionably. While I often dream, He always has VISION!
