Why do I paint what I paint? ❤️

I have always painted Richmond but not just Richmond, memories, people and dreams of the area that means a lot to me. I want to feel, I want to remember and maybe move some people through my paintings. 🥰

Is it me or autumn sunsets feel different? ♡

Had been my favourite way to end my work day. The autumn cool air, the delightful colors of sunset, the lovely locals by riverside & duck friends. ♡

P.S. Still kept the original sounds, the quacks, the water tide splashing...(& the busker too)

Autumn is nature's reminder to slow down, be present & to notice the beauty all around. ♡

All I have been doing these few months or even half a year is to slow down, to be present, to notice the beauty, to paint what I feel like, to look at the grand scheme of things in a span of next decades to come.

More importantly, I have a big project that I am happy working on. Curating my entire home into my own art gallery. It is still work in progress, taking my time to figure out what is best. :) I wonder if other artists do that too to their own home.

Cannot get over how beautiful the sparkles are. They were dancing. They were shining. They were so beautiful. ✨

Everyone has their sparkles. Perhaps one just needs to find, see and tap on it. More so when one believes in their own sparkles, be so focused in their own path and what resonates with them to succeed and build. ♡

Scroll to the right. That sparkles were dancing! Amazing. How have I not realised for so many years living here. 🥹 I also cannot get over how beautiful the boats are.

Autumn is officially here and as perhaps some of you may already know, this art account @miyopaints started because of winter, because of boredom, because of unfamiliarity. Despite so many years of living outside of my sunshine Singapore & Hong Kong, I don't think I can get over the fact that I still love the sun. Anyway, that also means I cannot wait to see what I would come up with this winter...♡

Do you sense that magic or happiness too when you spot the sparkles, the sunray reflections against the water, dancing on the beautiful boats @richmondbridgeboathire_?

I painted how I felt and what I saw. ♡ The happiness, the sense of hope & positivity and or maybe I was inspired and motivated by Claude Monet. Just in my own style.
