Lupita’s Update from Ann :.
.
Today was a big day for Lupita. She went to her forever home - The Waterfowl Sanctuary, in Godmanchester, run by Graham. She couldn’t have a lovelier home and it’s also a registered vet premises so they will keep a watch on her due to her medical history.
.
She was quarantined with me but will be in an enclosure for about 10 days with other domestic ducks. They are separated from the males at the moment. The boys are just a bit too amorous for now. Soon she will be living outside but still in safety.
.
We raised more money for Lupita, than we expected. Not a penny has been wasted and we have made a donation to The Waterfowl Sanctuary with the unused funds which feels right as she will live there for the rest of her days.
.
Thank you to every single person who helped Lupita. Ann x.
.
And a very special thank you from all of us to Ann - she took care of Lupita for 20 days and worked so hard to find her the perfect home. We are so grateful for the love she has given our Lupita. It’s bittersweet that she can’t come back to the river and be with Blondie and Pancho but this is the safest solution for her. And my thanks to Graham for giving her a safe and wonderful home❤️
.
Please go check out the sanctuary page in Facebook - search The Waterfowl Sanctuary ❤️❤️.
.
And my thanks (Veevs) for all the lovely comments and messages from all of you. Lupita is so loved worldwide ❤️❤️

Lupita Update from Ann :.
.
A big heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated to Lupita’s fund. It means more to me than you’ll ever know - I am touched by your kindness.
.
I have been trying to find a permanent home for her although I have always had a special place in mind. I just hoped they would accept her. I asked today and they said yes. When everything is finalised I will update where she’s off to. We raised more money than we spent so the excess will be donated to the rescue where Lupita will live out her days.
.
Once again thank you for your generosity. Ann.
.
An extra special thank you to the lovely Miyo @miyopaints as she raised nearly £200 for Lupita with the profits of her The Amigos print! Her art is so beautiful ❤️.

I’ve had several requests to create a GoFundMe for Lupita. Link is on my bio ❤️.
.

Thank you so much for anyone wanting to donate to her care. @danipics22 and I covered the initial Vet visit with x-rays and medicine and are more than happy to not get refunded back.
But she will need to go back to the vets for more X-Rays and meds. All donations will go to her care and anything leftover will go to the person or sanctuary who will take her after she has recuperated. Thank you again to everyone who has been so kind and all the lovely comments. I will continue to post updates 🙏❤️❤️

Update on Lupita 🐤💔
.
After the dog attack, Lupita has been diagnosed with a broken pelvis — and it looks like there may be some neurological damage too. She’ll need to go back to the vets to find out exactly what we’re dealing with.
.
She’s a fighter, but she’s got a long road ahead and she’s not out of the woods yet.
.
Today I’ll also be reporting the dog owner to the police and the RSPCA, as she still hasn’t come forward.
.
. I’ll keep you all posted. Thank you for all your kind messages🕊️
