Today on my walk around the #BaltimorePeninsula I thought I would scout out those locations from the @ferrantorres photo shoot there at the #underarmour campus on Wednesday. I was only able to replicate one of the shots, but it was still fun. The ground is sopping, but we brought camp chairs, it’s muggy as hell, but I just had a tasty arepi and I’m glad to be here. #swipeleft <<< And yet another #oneforthegrid Fun summer memories in the midst of some challenging and stressful times. Did a quick flyby #downyocean to Lewes, Henlopen and Rehoboth for 2-1/2 days, powered it back and then down to Bethesda for my nephew-in-law’s 40th birthday party where they thankfully were showing the England-Norway WC game, which thanks to Jude Bellingham, England happened to win. We were the only people there who were team England, but that’s okay- everyone was really nice and the food was fantastic. They even had a piñata that I happened to beat open on my turn. #summerfun #makingmemories 🌊💕🦋🌞🏖️⚽️ by @mizb_hon

#swipeleft <<< Another #oneforthegrid @paulseventy and I did a little “hot as balls outside” outing- someplace indoors- Bmore’s @nationalaquarium that neither of us had been to- or walked all the way through- in years. Decades even. It’s an amazing place with local sea and waterways animals, Amazon fish and animals and even Australian fish and animals. Afterwards we got a frosty strawberry tea with lots of ice and walked back to the car, which was parked right by Lebanese Taverna, so we had a yummy lunch there before we came home. Some little “picky bits” can be easier to eat when the weather is this hot than a full on big meal. Now I’m chillin’ at home in a caftan/muumuu for the rest of the day. #sealife #saveourseas 🌊🦆🫎🦀🦞🦐🪼🦑🦎🐬🐟🐠🐳🐋🫍🦈 taken in National Aquarium by @mizb_hon

#swipwleft <<< #oneforthegrid I went and saw the rest of the #Sail250Maryland #Tallships docked at the inner harbor before they leave port ( the ones I saw yesterday were leaving port today). The French vessel was one of the smallest, not yet open for tours, but a highlight was seeing some of the French sailors board after a morning leave looking exactly like a cliche- in the little sailor uniforms and smoking like some kind of film noir French movie character. 🌊⛵️⚓️🛳️💕🛟 taken in Inner Harbor, Baltimore MD by @mizb_hon

#swipeleft <<< #OneForTheGrid I was feeling a bit out of sorts this morning and early afternoon- migraine (took meds), joint pain ( took meds), exhaustion ( took a nap), so I could finally rally for a walk down to #tidepoint to see some of the #sail250maryland #tallships before they leave port tomorrow. I saw the Italian one, the Amerigo Vespucci, the Spanish one and the Argentinian one, which I managed a visit onboard. Built in 1963, it has 270 sailors and of that total, only 17 female sailors aboard. These ships are so beautiful! I did ask one of the Italian guys if they start driving each other nuts when they’ve been at sea awhile, and he laughed and said, “Yes, absolutely”. 🌊⚓️⛵️🛳️🛟 by @mizb_hon

#swipeleft <<< #OneForTheGrid Headed west, back towards home. Made one last beachy stop at @fenwickiceco for a #shaveice ( last slide). I had a few restful days, 3 sunny beach days and a cozy glamping time among the rescue farm animals at @cowtowncabins where I cooked healthy camp meals so I could enjoy a couple of beachy sweet treats. After the last 10 months on an extremely challenging and difficult teaching contract, this time has been great to rest, reset, and get those cortisol levels a little closer to normal. #swipeleft <<< #OneForTheGrid Last night was my first night of farm #glamping at @cowtowncabins and the yurt tent kept me cozy and dry through last night’s crazy summer storms. The design, by @lotusbelletentseverywhere was originally designed and made in Britain for music festival glamping. I brought my little camping bedside table, and my blow up wedge pillow and it was so comfy and quiet ( once the pounding rain and thunder stopped). This morning we went around and fed and met the adorable animals here at the farm. The owner, Shelley, is incredibly compassionate, kind and accommodating. Just the restful little respite I so badly needed. No beach time today- it’s all cloudy and rainy, but I will be going someplace to watch the England -Ghana WC game. Posting to remember and look back on later on. 🏕️🐂🐐🐓🌸💕 PS. #swipeleft <<< #OneForTheGrid Today, on a very hot n humid day, much like the day we got married 25 years ago tomorrow, we rented out a pavilion in the nearby county park and had a barbecue and pot luck. Many thanks to the people who could make it out. A bunch of people were either not feeling well or out of town so they were missed but it was just lovely seeing the people who came out to help us celebrate! And a special thanks to @kiimmmmber for that last minute salad dressing run to the Megamart! Much appreciated! ( I made an enormous salad from the lettuce @paulseventy grew and then left the dressing at home-oops!)
