#swipeleft <<< #OneForTheGrid Today, on a very hot n humid day, much like the day we got married 25 years ago tomorrow, we rented out a pavilion in the nearby county park and had a barbecue and pot luck. Many thanks to the people who could make it out. A bunch of people were either not feeling well or out of town so they were missed but it was just lovely seeing the people who came out to help us celebrate! And a special thanks to @kiimmmmber for that last minute salad dressing run to the Megamart! Much appreciated! ( I made an enormous salad from the lettuce @paulseventy grew and then left the dressing at home-oops!)
With a yummy cake from @graulsmarket and a fizzy toast at 3, it was nice to mark the occasion. #25thanniversary #silverweddinganniversary #hotnhumid 💕🌝🍰

#swipleft <<< This morning, early, we headed over to the Taj Mahal, one of the wonders of the world, aka the most or one of the most beautiful buildings in the world. That’s a #bucketlistchecked✔ destination that’s a testament to LOVE and devotion. It’s worth the hype. A gorgeous, symmetrical, white marble and inlay masterpiece that’s an attraction for all. I’m still following the continuously disturbing news back home, but just for a minute, it was amazing to take it all in, and to realize that testaments to love are what stand the test of time 🇮🇳 🧡🤍💚🕌. #tajmahal #thetaj #thetajmahal #agra #agraindia #beautifulsymmetry #uttarpradesh #indiatrip #middleagedtravellers #midlifetravel #60thbirthdaytrip

#swipeleft #India day 2. We got to meet and hang out with a 25 year online friend of mine! So cool to finally meet in person. My ye olde Lonely Planet TTWT peeps will know who this is. 😉 ( swipe through to see). She and her bro were great hosts and tour guides. After lunch at a great old school lunch club like restaurant on Connaught Place, we then went to the handicrafts museum and the old fort. Once they dropped us off, Paul and I went back over to the Sunder Nursery park for some excellent live music. My internal clock is still wacked the hell out, but we’re pushing through. One more full day in Dehli tomorrow and then it’s off to Agra the day after that. #Dehli #dehliindia #indiatrip #sundayindehli #middleagedtravel #birthdaytrip #oldfriends #nothinglikeoldfriends

#swipeleft <<< From a couple of weeks ago, I’m spending less time on meta platforms, but I do like them for the chronicling of one’s life. In the middle of the fall of democracy at home, Paul is treating me to a #bucketlist type trip to India for my upcoming 60th. So I’ll be posting pics, because I want to be able to look back later and also to share the experience with loved ones. Today, we arrived in our Dehli hotel at around 4:30 am local time, after setting off from home on Thursday afternoon. We had a wander over the Humayun’s Tomb, the nearby museum and the lovely park nearby. #humayunstomb #dehli #dehliindia #sundernursery #saturdayinthepark #travelvibes #middleagetravel #nofilter

#swipeleft <<< Another super hot, super stormy #Artscape By the time I arrived yesterday, it was shutting down early because of storms, but I did manage to check out the #SondheimArtPrize finalists show at the MICA Fox building. Today, I managed to see a few friends, take a couple of shots of fabulous looking strangers, and dance down in front for the #OriginalWailers even though their set was broken in half because of yes, nearby reported lightning. Why don’t they ever schedule this thing in June like they did back in the day? Anyway, a nice #afternoonout Now it’s back to the house for more Olympics! #artscapebaltimore #artscape2024 #bmoreart #largestfreeusartsfestival #sundayfunday #weekendfun #hotweather

#swipeleft <<< @paulseventy and I had no solid plans for today, but I guess @showroomfrederick ‘s email marketing did its job. They don’t send them out that often ( smart), but I did get one yesterday suggesting brunch for today, so Paul and I drove out to Frederick for brunch and then a very pretty but super muggy hike in #GambrillStatePark Now, we’re heading back home for maybe a snooze in the air con, then dinner and then maybe some fireworks. Really ignoring National and world events for today, but I did ask him after my coffee this morning where we should go if the US turns into a Christo-nationalist dictatorship. 🎇🎆🟥◻️🟦 🇺🇸 …………………………………………………………………..#july4th #happyindependenceday #1776 #frederickmaryland #awalkinthewoods #muggyAF #itsnottheheatitsthehumidity #dayoff #landback #americasbirthday

#swipeleft<<< I texted a few #galpals to share my walk today, as it’s a glorious, sunny, not too cold winter’s day which will be sandwiched between the storm and wind we just had, another storm, and then next week some really cold weather. It was nice to walk and chat and look at nature for an hour and a half, and little Chico doggie 🐶 really enjoyed himself, too! #nofilter #northpointstatepark #southernbaltimorecounty #visityourstateparks #dailywalk #walkforhealth #gettingsomestepsin #ilovemyfriends #prettyday

#swipeleft <<< Checked out the #FellsPointFestival for a couple of hours. Ate snacks ( that’s a crab pretzel for the out of towners. Not pictured- local oysters and gelato), listened to a funk band, ran into a friend, saw some cute doggies and walked around. Much smaller than years past, but glad to see it’s back. #fellspoint #fellspointbaltimore #crabpretzel #shitzupuppy #corgi #germanshepherd #sundayafternoon #nofilter

#swipeleft <<< Met up with my sis in law @raeannbell for some steamed crabs @dockofthebay21219 , one my my bro’s favorite places, to feast on some crabs in memory of my brother Bill @william.s.bell1958 on what would have been his 65th birthday. Now we’re thinkin’ that if we’re around, we should do this every year. They were local crabs and boy were they tasty. #marylandcrabs #griefjourney #marylandseafood #chesapeakebay #onthewater #sittinonthedockofthebay #crabsandcorn #dundalkmd #steamedcrabs #inmemoriam
