10 days of Camp Hesperado with nephew Lorenzo is what summer dreams are made of; hiking, biking, golfing, rafting, sailing, legos, thumb wars, fireworks, morning scavenger hunts, sleeping under the stars & no screen time. Love this kid ❤️ by @mjaners

In the heart of summer, I had the blessing of spending 8 out of 10 nights on two gorgeous rivers with collectively 40 friends ranging in ages from 13 months to 75 years old.

We hiked up canyons, bathed in waterfalls, hugged old growth pondos that smelled like vanilla, feasted on communal meals of paella and poke bowls, watched the sun set, moon rise, rainbows arc and clouds float across the sky, read the ways of the water, slept under the stars, shared laughter and tears around the campfire and unplugged from the crazy world all while deeply connected by the importance of protecting our wild places for generations to come.

Thank you, river, for all the lessons you teach us….
….and thanks to @hestoutdoors for keeping my momma - the oldest one- comfortable to be able to share part of this experience with me…
…and of course gratitude for the young-ins keepin’ the dream alive❤️‍🔥

Simon Guy (Si Guy) Carroll, 09/03/09 — 03/14/24, what an extraordinary story that — dash — between those dates lived ❣️
I’m a believer you have that ONE dog of a lifetime. Simon IS that soul dog for me and the greatest source of joy, love and honor I’ve ever known. We found each other @grrrescue 13.5 years ago when he was 13 months old bc he had *somehow* been surrendered.
All he needed was love.
He sat on my feet, leaned into my legs and I knew I had scored the jackpot. We went on to live the most beautiful life - with our souls deeeeeeeeply connected.
I could tell tales of the Si Guy for days and I’m sure I will for the years to come- for now here are all the photos a reel will allow- mostly for my broken heart to watch over and over on repeat. 💔
He left this world with the most peaceful, meaningful passing - with all the love- just like what he needed from the day I met him.

My best man is FOURTEEN! 🥳
There’s no denying he waited his whole entire life to shine right here in this very moment.
We tried to put him to bed 5 x (as he sleeps 23+ hours/day) but he wouldn’t have it. He was the belle of the ball who stole the show.

It’s taken me all summer to fully reflect upon our wedding in early June. The intention of our day was to reflect our pure connections to nature, family, place, and community.

It was the best day ever of Evan & I’s human experience. While I always find beauty in tiny details and special moments, it’s the way your people from all walks of life show up to celebrate LOVE that really makes the magic.

Recently, I absentmindedly forgot my journal on a plane, so I guess I’ll use the Internet to archive these special moments stored in my heart/mind/soul forever.

🪶Our Hesperado homestead in high definition: white fluffy clouds, rain sprinkle blessing, proud ponderosas, snow capped peaks and wild lupine and arrowleaf balsamroot

🪶A 14 women homegrown super bloom flower co-op following a historic winter led by @erinphilpott + @sabshagen

🪶The sun parting as I walked down the aisle to “Here Comes the Sun”

🪶My idol/babysitter turned a bestie since the 3rd grade @gennaholgate delivering the most powerful, from the heart intimate ceremony.

🪶The BUZZ of love, connections and community surrounding us & everyone

🪶My husband, Evan. And his V long hugs

🪶The undeniable presence of my father’s spirit

🪶Calling in the strawberry full moon in all its glory

🪶Unapologetically southwest mountain chic vibes with an unprecedented amount of bolo ties in one gathering

🪶My best man, Simon, rallying hard- going rogue down the aisle and raging the dance floor several times

🪶Meaningful words shared from the humans who know us each as individuals and our love the most

🪶That dance floor⚡️Woof. Glad there were no reported injuries.

CDMX x 12 women = 62 km on e-bikes, 100’s of al pastor street tacos, 12 Lucha Libre masks, miles of city park runs, 1 pink elevator, TEQUILA, dancing, earrings by erin, markets, makeup by Cara, museums and laughter until you cry.
