end of an era for me, made a really difficult decision recently and decided that the tdi had to go.
not a choice i wanted to make but i’ve had my time with the car, it’s been the best daily i’ve ever owned and i don’t think anything will ever top it. 600+ miles on a tank at a time and a rather strange tractor-like soundtrack that i quickly fell in love with; couldn’t beat it.
the car has gone to someone who i know and trust will put their own spin on it and make it their own and obviously i look forward to seeing it.
here’s a little collection of some of my favourite pics i’ve had taken over the last 2 years or so.
thank you to everyone who’s made this car a joy to own and i’m extremely grateful for all of the friends this car has introduced me to, some of them will be lifelong friendships i’m sure and for that i cannot thank this car enough.

lowered it and put some wheels on it
it’s mental what a set of 7 series wheels can do to a rough old 3 series
still waiting for number plates to turn up (grow up if you like the blue gb bit) and need to get this horrid front bumper off, but i am very pleased with how this looks and drives 👍

new daily as polo was rubbish

e46 320d, nice spec, almost everything works, lovely colour

Well, here it is. VW Days France 2026 completed.

I still can’t actually believe that this car belongs to me. It’s got a long way to go still, believe me, but the fact that we’re at this stage is absolutely mind boggling.

This car went from sitting for years to completing a near 1000 mile road trip over a long weekend with no serious issues, just a couple of little ones. It has done me unbelievably proud and I will never let it sit like that again, it deserves better.

Obviously I’m far to useless to achieve anything like this on my own so here’s a few people that helped me along the way, whether it was with advice, supplying parts or just full on doing the job for me, I cannot thank you enough either way (I promise I’ll try to find a way)-
