📢 I’m excited to officially announce that my new album El mito de Sísifo: New works by Leo Brouwer will be released on July 24, 2026 on streaming platforms and digital download!

This project has been in the works since 2023 and is devoted to Leo Brouwer’s late solo and chamber music, featuring three world premiere recordings, including El mito de Sísifo para guitarra, a work commissioned by and dedicated to me by Maestro Brouwer. This album also features an incredible group of musicians and friends: Pierre Ferreyra-Mansilla (guitar), Isidora Vladic (piano), Mark Humburg (cello), José Maldonado (guitar), and David Brown (violin), and I’m excited to finally share these collaborations on the record.

More details, music, and behind-the-scenes material will be shared in the coming weeks. I can’t wait for you all to hear it. Thanks for listening 🎧 #leobrouwer #classicalguitar #newmusic #albumrelease #NYC

World premiere: Leo Brouwer - El Mito de Sísifo para guitarra is out now on #YouTube! Thank you to everyone who tuned in for the premiere. It’s difficult to express how grateful I am for the opportunity to premiere a work by Maestro Brouwer - especially a work inspired by Albert Camus, written for me, and with dedication. It’s a true honor! Gracias Maestro!

This is a clip from the Allegretto section in 11/8 time with a repetitive dance-like quality evocative of the boulder’s journey up and down the hill 🪨⛰️

I am also immensely proud of the work done by Henry Nelson of @probablevoltages Henry created an atmosphere absolutely perfect for the piece and I know this project wouldn’t be what it is without his vision. Thank you Henry and thank @evelynmford for the beautiful handwritten title card!

Please check out the full video on my YouTube channel- link in bio. Over there you can find personal notes from me and Henry, the story behind it, and details about the composition. Please subscribe, like, and share the video 🙏 Thanks as always for listening, stay tuned for more!

Last Friday, we shared a very special moment with @mkguitar. We performed “Diorama” by @gloriavillanueva4 with Gloria herself in the audience! What an emotional and joyful moment.
I’m sharing this little recording from that day. At the end, you can even see Gloria coming over to give us a hug!!
I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. ❤️ by @mkguitar
