🎮 The Digital Nomad life is like a video game. Every country is a new level. Every level needs an upgraded character with new gear, skills, and wisdom. Each time I land in a new destination, I level up my character stats: 🧠 Knowledge (MP) 💪 Experience (XP) 💫 Growth (H) ⚙️ Soft & hard skills (gear, armor, weapons) Here are some of my level-up moments so far ⤵️ 🌨️ First time in -7°C 📶 First time in a non-EU country 🌴 First time in Southeast Asia 🌧️ First rainy season with typhoons 🏫 First time helping a local school in Cambodia with fundraising 🕷️ First time ziplining through jungle treehouses with giant spiders 🤿 First time scuba diving 19 meters below the surface 🪂 First time mountain paragliding in Vietnam 🎈 First time in a hot-air balloon over Laos 🦈 First time swimming with whale sharks, manta rays & sea turtles ☄️ First time touching a 34-ton iron meteorite 🕳️ First time caving 40m below the surface 🤖 First time seeing robot & drone deliveries in daily life ⛩️ First time experiencing the Japanese culture & history Each adventure added a new skill, a new perspective, and a new upgrade to this ever-evolving avatar called me. After 38 countries and countless quests… I’ve realized that travel is the best RPG ever created 🌍✨ Greetings from Nagasaki, Japan! 🌍 @athensnomadfest 2026 in Numbers 🇬🇷 What happens when people from around the world come together in Athens to connect, learn, build, create, and share ideas? Here’s a snapshot of our 2026 community: 👥 126 participants surveyed 🌍 31 nationalities represented ✈️ 44% were visitors to Greece 💼 66% were entrepreneurs, freelancers, or founders 🎯 72% were aged 25–44 💻 26% worked in Tech & AI-related sectors And there’s more: 🇬🇷 59 Greek participants 🌎 66 non-Greek participants 📅 42% of visitors stayed in Greece for 2+ weeks Our most represented industries included: 💻 Tech & Software 🧠 Coaching & Consulting ✈️ Travel & Hospitality 🎓 Education 🎨 Creative Industries And one thing was especially clear: people didn’t come only for talks and workshops. 🍽️ Networking dinners, social events, and shared experiences were among the most popular parts of the festival. I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined our two LinkedIn for Remote Jobs webinars with @jobgether What started as two LinkedIn Live sessions became something much bigger than I expected. 🌍 Across the two webinars: 📌 7,000 people registered 💬 1,600 comments were left 🌎 People joined from North & South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and beyond A special thank you to Ryan Seeras, Co-Founder & CPO at Jobgether, for inviting me to do these sessions together and for the conversations we had around the realities of remote job searching. And a big thank you to Karolina Díez, who supported us behind the scenes and helped manage the flood of comments during the live sessions. 🙌 We covered two big parts of using LinkedIn for a remote career: 🔹 Part 1: Optimize Your Profile & Get Found by Recruiters How to improve your profile, positioning, keywords, credibility, achievements, and recruiter visibility. 🔹 Part 2: Build Visibility & Create Opportunities How to network, research companies and opportunities, engage strategically, create content, demonstrate expertise, and build a realistic LinkedIn routine. But my favorite part was the questions, discussions, disagreements, experiences, and perspectives in the comments. Seeing people joining from so many different countries and career backgrounds was a powerful reminder that the challenges around remote work may look different around the world, but many of the questions are surprisingly similar.
