A meeting of hearts, music and spirit / الروح From the underground scene to the Sacré Coeur- at the heart of Casablanca. To many a challenge, to some “une évidence”, and a holy moment for all . Nefs/Niya Two terms that are hard to translate from our collective values discourse, et tant mieux ! This version of the song, titled accordingly “nefs o niya” has been for a first time complemented by the chords charm from @orchestre_philharmonique_maroc to meet the musical scheme that has lived relentlessly in @reda3allali s mind and finally met all of us on stage, alongside the full @hoba_hoba_spirit_officiel crew. . . . . . . . . . . . Hope you enjoy this tiny bit of it as much as we all did . . . . . #hobahobaspirit #morocco #opm #music #orchestrephilharmonique by @mlagtari

HOBA - essence “What is Hoba? Who are they? Where did they go to be back? We don’t get it?” @hoba_hoba_spirit_officiel Constant change, endless growth, resilience and courage, or maybe just plain fun.. ♾️ Whatever resonates with you, the essence is one and the same - Moroccan Hayha 🥁 (you might be tempted by translating it to the art of partying… but even then you might loose some of its essence) #morocco #fes #hobahobaspirit by @mlagtari
The night when the show didn’t stop at the stage. The beauty of the audience stole lights and hearts. Tribute to them all bright meteors ☄️ Awdyan ⴰⵡⴷⵢⴰⵏ As in no one No one compares to you No one after you would fulfill the heart by @mlagtari
Meteor Airlines ⵎⵉⵜⵢⵓⵔ ⵉⵔⵍⴰⵢⵏⵣ Drawing their names from the frequency of meteors traveling in the clear sky of the South East region in Morocco, this peculiar denomination portrays the mix of authenticity and openness that marked the band’s musical journey. Ready to shower over a new desert, the Texan one, Meteors ought to shine just as bright amongst all the other stars at the SXSW festival ☄️🌵 by @mlagtari
AGHANIB ⴰⵖⴰⵏⵉⴱ The Pen : using figurative words and masterful harmonies to dive into the complexity of the current situation in the southeast regions. Witnessing a peaceful oasis turning into a stressed out town, many have lived through this water crisis unable to voice it in such an articulate way. The gem of their album AGDAL, a show stopper, AGHANIB introduces you to this musical journey and engages you from the very first chords. CALAMUS GLADIO FORTIOR (The Pen is Mightier than the Sword) by @mlagtari
Bougafer 1933: Why singing happily and proudly about it? Celebrating already the 91st memorial of the battle that opposed resistance from Ait Atta when the French army attempted to invade the southeast regions of Morocco. Starting in mid February, the resistance persisted for more than a month. Using the geography and their knowledge of the land to gain the higher hand even under siege and when outnumbered. The confrontations were bloody and intense. Yet, their high level of organization and courage of the resistance forced the enemy, even after they tried in vain to use their aviation, to resort to dialogue. Women, beside being an active part of the resistance, were the back bone of their determination. Encouraging their dear ones and celebrating them in both their lively actions as well as honoring their memory. With poems they passed down singing, their legacy is preserved through time. For love, be it of the land or of our closest souls, transcends time and even death. by @mlagtari
Imaziɣen As the audience chants the name our ancestors referred to themselves by. Meaning Free Men and Women, they would live up to their title at many occasions, standing up against all forms of oppression. Their tales transmitted through poems pays tribute to their resilience and bravery. Their music keeps moving us in the same victorious rhythms they danced to.
