I learned today that I’m not very good about checking my PO Box, to the point that it was referred to as “the mystery box” by the employees at the Post Office. I found a bunch of gems in there today- sweet notes from clients and this magazine from @artistsnetwork earlier this summer🤍

Such an honor to have to have my painting Rush Hour included in this issue featuring the Finalists for the Best of Watercolor art competition 🤍 thank you to the juror Chris Krupinski and @artistsnetwork for selecting my painting Rush Hour

This magazine and all the paintings included are truly beautiful

At Plein Air Live, watercolor artist and plein air painter @mo.myra.art will walk you through her plein air process, layer by layer.

Using a landscape with a tree in dappled light, Mo will demonstrate how she uses wet-over-dry washes to gradually build values and volume while capturing the feeling of the scene.

And for Mo, painting outdoors isn’t just part of her work — she calls plein air painting her joy. That love of being outside and capturing the essence of a place comes through beautifully in her watercolors.

You can learn from Mo at Plein Air Live THIS WEEK! 🎉

🎨 Essential Techniques Day starts TOMORROW — September 15
🗓 Plein Air Live: September 16–18
🌎 100% online

There’s still time to join us!

Painting outdoors asks you to work with whatever nature gives you, like changing light or unexpected distractions.

But plein air watercolor artist @mo.myra.art has learned that doesn’t always mean you need to rush.

We’re sharing a few of Mo’s plein air reminders in this post — and this September, you’ll have the chance to learn directly from her at Plein Air Live!

Mo will be joining our faculty alongside an incredible lineup of artists sharing their approaches, techniques, and lessons from years of painting outdoors.

Comment EVENT to learn more!
