A nor’easter rolled through on Antoinette and Daniel’s wedding day, and somehow the fall colors looked even brighter against those misty mountains. 🍂

Antoinette’s thoughtful touches were everywhere, from the pumpkins and vibrant florals to the linens and maple syrup favors. And one of my favorite details: during the reception, a live painter turned a photo of Antoinette and Daniel walking back down the aisle as newlyweds into a watercolor, right before everyone’s eyes. Swipe to see it coming to life! 🎨

We made it outside for a few portraits in the wind before heading back in to celebrate on the dance floor lit up by @tophatentertainment. What a day!

This was truly a dream team lineup of vendors:
Venue: @mountaintopresort
Photography: @juniperstudios

Live painting: @mo.myra.event.painting

At Plein Air Live, watercolor artist and plein air painter @mo.myra.art will walk you through her plein air process, layer by layer.

Using a landscape with a tree in dappled light, Mo will demonstrate how she uses wet-over-dry washes to gradually build values and volume while capturing the feeling of the scene.

And for Mo, painting outdoors isn’t just part of her work — she calls plein air painting her joy. That love of being outside and capturing the essence of a place comes through beautifully in her watercolors.

You can learn from Mo at Plein Air Live THIS WEEK! 🎉

🎨 Essential Techniques Day starts TOMORROW — September 15
🗓 Plein Air Live: September 16–18

This is your sign to go outside & paint. 🎨🌿

And if you’d like a little inspiration before you head out, these Plein Air Live faculty artists have plenty to share next week!

🎨 @gbarnesstudios will demonstrate his plein air pastel process, @christinelashleyart will take you along as she paints rushing falls and rocks on location, @mo.myra.art will show how she builds volume and values in watercolor, and @richgallegofineart will tackle plein air gouache and show how he keeps this quick-drying medium manageable in the field.

Four artists. Four different approaches. Four more reasons to get excited about painting outside. ☀️🎨

Plein Air Live is just ONE WEEK away! And there’s a total of 17 faculty artists joining us.

Painting outdoors asks you to work with whatever nature gives you, like changing light or unexpected distractions.

But plein air watercolor artist @mo.myra.art has learned that doesn’t always mean you need to rush.

We’re sharing a few of Mo’s plein air reminders in this post — and this September, you’ll have the chance to learn directly from her at Plein Air Live!

Mo will be joining our faculty alongside an incredible lineup of artists sharing their approaches, techniques, and lessons from years of painting outdoors.
