When the voice notes finally make it out into the wild 🥹🤍

Our hearts are so full after the sweetest weekend with friends. Davina and I have known each other since 5th grade, and thanks to social media, we’ve always been able to stay connected. But over the last couple of years, as we’ve walked through motherhood together, our friendship has reconnected in such a beautiful way.

What started as voice notes back and forth weekly, then almost daily—has grown into this really special friendship in a whole new season of life. So when Mallory and I jumped on a plane and headed to Houston, I knew it was going to be special.

There’s just something about being childhood friends and now getting to watch our daughters become friends too 🥹 The love goes so deep.

If you need us this summer, we’ll be in a creek somewhere. 💦🌿

This season has been all about slowing down, getting outside, and finding new places where the kids can splash, explore, and make memories. We’ve been on a mission to find the best kid-friendly creek spots around Denver, and these are the ones we’d keep going back to:

📍 Boulder Creek Park
✔️ Swimming holes
✔️ Long stretch of creek
✔️ Shaded playground

📍 Belleview Park
✔️ Shallow water for little splashers
✔️ Crawdad hunting
✔️ Train rides + petting farm

📍 Lair O’ the Bear
✔️ Beautiful drive past Red Rocks
✔️ Easy 5-minute walk to the creek
✔️ Picnic spot, hiking trails & wildlife (we even saw an elk!)

📍 Ralston Creek Park
✔️ Hidden neighborhood gem in Arvada
✔️ Tons of shade
✔️ Playground + calm creek to explore

✨ Honorable mention: Clear Creek in Golden (not pictured, but definitely one of our favorites!)

Hot take: Cherry Creek Ecological Park wasn’t our favorite. It was really busy when we went and there wasn’t much shade—but the crawdad hunting was still a hit. 🦞 taken in Denver, Colorado by @moadetoye

Another bucket list activity ✅🍋

J+L Lemonade Stand was a huge success today! I’m so proud of these two. They used their own money to buy the supplies, spent the day prepping, and then got to experience the reward of all their hard work.

It turned into the sweetest little lesson in both money management and hospitality. They started the day with, “What do you want?” and by the end it was, “What can I get you?...Thank you for your business!” ❤️

It’s wild how healing your nervous system can quietly change everything.

Especially motherhood.

I spent so long believing I needed a break from my kids. Looking back now, I realize that was never the truth. What I really needed was a break from everything that was pulling me away from myself… and from them.

Now, with more space to simply be, I see them differently. I see us differently.

The ordinary moments feel softer. The noise doesn’t reach me the same way. Presence has replaced survival.

Nothing about my children changed. My capacity did.

Sometimes the greatest transformation isn’t in changing your life, it’s in finally being able to experience the life that was already waiting for you. 🤍 by @moadetoye
