Hi hi! I’m an associate programmer for this! HMU if you want a waiver code! More Info: Ripcord is a new independent film platform that aims to directly connect genre filmmakers with fans. It is launching at the end of this October with The Halloween Film Festival which is set to showcase 50 short genre films, including horror, sci-fi, thriller and fantasy titles. Fans will vote on their favorites and the winning film will win $100,000. The remaining nine films will split a $100,000 total prize, based on ranking, following a live screening at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on Oct. 29. The festival runs from Oct. 19-29, and all screenings will be free to watch at ripcord.film. Filmmakers can submit their shorts via FilmFreeway (https://filmfreeway.com/RipcordHalloweenFilmFestival) - the deadline for submission is October 1st.

Eligibility: The festival does not require a premiere status and your film may have already been showcased online, North American submissions only (no QC), must have been made in the last 2 years, and the length requirement is 4-30 mins each. by @moatsie

Haven’t done this in awhile!
Gemini season movies!
Gemini season is upon us! Don’t be scared—Geminis get a bad rap but the main takeaway from their season is flexibility. They are as changeable as the wind but never dull. If the steadfast energies of Taurus season made you yawn then jump on the Gemini train, you never know where it will stop! You know the feeling of googling something then falling down an internet search hole as one thing leads to another? That’s Gemini energy, flitting about to whatever you find interesting with no plan in place. Geminis are ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication. They LOVE to talk, sometimes a little too much, as gossiping can be a problem for them. They’re also very witty, knowledgeable, curious and absolutely delightful to be around. They are represented by the twins, and they have a dual nature, their personalities can run the gamut from Stevie Nicks to Donald Trump – it doesn’t make sense, just roll with it. That’s the spirit of the season.

Absolutely gutted for Dawson City today😭
Here are my favourite memories of the Pit. Starting with my favourite painting 💕. (And the bathroom lighting was A+ for mirror selfies.) what a loss, I honestly thought nothing could destroy it. 😭😭 taken in Dawson City, Yukon Territory by @moatsie
