Missing Birmingham and @sidewalkfilm already!

It was an honor to have “Before You” screen at this incredible film festival, among so many other strong shorts and features. It’s been a surprise and joy to have our film screen in so many red and purple states, places where we were once doubtful that this story would even be acknowledged — let alone embraced and supported.

Alongside our screening, we co-hosted a panel titled, “Reproductive Healthcare: How Can Film Impact the Narrative?” We are eternally grateful to those that helped the discussion come to life. Stay tuned for a separate post about this!

Thank you to the @sidewalkfilm team, and all of the amazing filmmakers who we connected with — many of whom are tagged here! (as many as IG would allow.) Special shoutout to @drew_blu, @jctellsstories, and Joi for making it such a special weekend.

The festival run for “Before You” is far from over – be on the lookout for exciting announcements coming up, and a September full of festivals!

This past weekend CUFF hosted a free industry panel on the future of genre cinema as part of the 22nd fest.

Thank you to our partners at Economic Development Lethbridge and @yourampia for making this annual event possible, our panelists, and the audience for coming out to support!
