We have an opportunity for our Mob to help shape something important, and we want YOU to be part of it!

We're looking for:
- First Nations people with intellectual disability
- Families, carers and community members
- Advocates and people with lived experience.

We're bringing people together for 3–4 small, relaxed yarning and co-design sessions, kicking off in just a couple of weeks!

We want to hear what works, what doesn't, and what culturally safe self-advocacy should actually look like for our communities.

You don't need to be an expert. Your lived experience and cultural knowledge are the expertise we're looking for!

Because decisions about our Mob should never be made without our Mob.

Keen to be involved? Send Mob4Mob a message or comment below and we'll get in touch with more information.

Know someone who would have something deadly to contribute? Tag them or share this post!

BE HEARD. BE BOLD. BE THE CHANGE. ✊🏽🖤💛❤️

What a deadly couple of days at the Loud and Clear QLD 2026 All-Abilities Conference – Power in Action!

Our CEO, Cassie Brophy, and Board Co-Chair, Aunty Paula Wootton, had the privilege of representing Mob4Mob, sharing our journey and yarning about what it really means to be heard, be bold and be the change.

At Mob4Mob, we believe our people already have the knowledge, strength and power. What's needed is for their voices to be respected, their choices to matter and their leadership to be recognised.

Because being heard is more than being listened to. Being bold is more than speaking up. And being the change means turning those words into action.
We are proudly built by Mob4Mob, and everything we do starts and ends with our community.

We also loved catching up with Matt Gillett, Head of Advocacy at Endeavour Foundation. There's nothing better than spending time with deadly allies who share a passion for inclusion, advocacy and making meaningful change. 🖤

A huge thank you to Loud and Clear QLD for creating a space where people with disability aren't just part of the conversation, they're leading it!

And to everyone who shared their stories, their voices and their power over the two days, deadly work! 🙌🏽

OUR PEOPLE. OUR VOICES. OUR CHOICES. OUR POWER.

World Mental Health Day | 10 October

Our mental health matters. Every day.

Today is a reminder to slow down, check in with ourselves and make space for the people around us. A yarn, a cuppa, a connection to culture, spending time with family or simply having someone listen can all be important parts of looking after our wellbeing.

For our mob, connection matters. We all have different experiences, and sometimes asking for support can be one of the strongest things we can do.

If you’re doing it tough, you don’t have to carry it alone. Reach out to someone you trust, have a yarn with your support network, or connect with a service that can help.

This month, let’s make space for honest conversations, connection and checking in with the people around us.

Sometimes a yarn, a listening ear or simply knowing someone is there can make a big difference. Looking after our wellbeing is important, and you don’t have to go through things alone.

If you or someone you know is doing it tough, reach out to someone you trust, have a yarn with your support network, or connect with a service that can help. There is always strength in asking for support.

Let’s keep looking out for ourselves, our families and our community; because when we support each other, we all grow stronger.

Need a yarn or some extra support?

You don't have to carry things on your own.
Reach out to someone you trust or connect with a support service.

Happy International Day of Sign Languages!

Did you know there are hundreds of different sign languages used around the world? Just like spoken languages, sign languages have their own grammar, expressions and cultural identity.

Today we celebrate the Deaf community and recognise the importance of accessible communication, inclusion and making sure everyone has the opportunity to connect and have their voice heard.

For First Nations people with disability, access to culturally safe and accessible communication is an important part of connection, participation and belonging.

Communication is a right. Inclusion is for everyone.
