It really does feel so scary getting old.
Growing up and getting older means saying goodbye to a big piece of me: Venom Softball. Bittersweet.

Trying to convey the impact this team, the coaches, and the sport as a whole have had on me seems impossible. Words will never accurately articulate the love and appreciation I feel for the last ten years of my life.

I am forever in debt to my teammates, coaches, and parents for providing the single greatest childhood a girl could dream up. The places I’ve been and the people I’ve connected with are true treasures to me. I’ve seen these girls 3–4 times a week for the last nine years — whether that’s practice, league games, or long tournaments — so I’m having a hard time grasping the concept of it all coming to a close. Softball has always been a constant in my life, and I am forever grateful that constant was Venom, specifically. The culture we created as a team is unlike anything anyone has ever seen.

Growing up with all of my girls has been my favorite part of life so far. How could I ever properly thank someone for taking me from pigtails to perfume? They truly will never know how deep my love and appreciation for them really is.

Although I’m sad this chapter of my life is over, I’m overjoyed flipping back through all the pages.
